Would definitely like to play again.
The day I played was the day after our area had received well over an inch of rain, so I was expecting the course to be extremely soggy. However, after the first couple of holes, we did not have any real issues with water. There were a few spots of standing water, but considering the weather the day before, the course had drained exceptionally well. The fairways were starting to green up pretty well also. The greens were still a little bumpy from the spring aerification, but that was really the only real bad mark I would give the course. All in all, for the price we paid to play, I was very pleased with the overall condition of the course, and I look forward to returning to Etowah for another round once the fairways and greens have had time to completely come back to life from the winter dormancy and spring aerification.
lot of different holes
Played the course a year ago and it is much improved. Last year the course was very wet. In great conditions, when compared to local courses in that area.
Great
Greens had been aerated but a getting better and looking nice. Pace of play was slow due to a lot of people playing. Fairways a growing and getting nicer some holes the fairways are still bad but great course
Great Condition
We played the North and South. Both were in excellent condition.
Great course, beautiful setting
Course is great, new owners are renovating the facilities with some work on course.
Great course!!
Always a great place to play. 27 holes, firm, fast greens. Pace of play was 3 hrs playing as a twosome!
This is a very good 27 hole course
This course has so much improved in conditions, it is on it's way back to the way it was originally. The staff is very
accommodating & the course is enjoyable to play again.
I've played this course for more than 30 years, keep up the good work.
Course is great
Great course an excellent value for my money.

Fun experience
Played the North and South Course. Some wet spots but otherwise fine. Greens were decent.
Forgiving
With the super wide fairways and large greens it's a very forgiving course, but with strategic pin placements and large green side bunkers accuracy is a must in order to make par. Played this course about 5 years ago and it hasn't changed much. The course(north + west) were open with the south course getting maintenance. I really enjoyed the course and this round became the third time I have shot 80...
easy to find
course is in ok shape....lots of dead spots around greens and som fairways still very wet in places from the wet summer...greens are in great shape....starter a little pushy about pace of play....we finished in 4 hours and 18 minutes with a foursome...
I really like the layout
Played the North and South courses on Labor Day Afternoon solo. Fairways where in Good Shape! Greens were a little damp but with all the rain lately, no surprise there. North course had one hole that could use some work - #7, Drainage around the Front Right Sand Trap is really bad, That section should be called ground under repair. But if you can avoid that area, you should be alright. Looks like all new carts as well.
Thje cours layout is good with nominal hazzards.
The fairways are fairly open. The greens are challenging. The staff are all cordial and conscientious about the course conditions.
This course was in great shape.
Although this area has suffered with a tremendous amount of rain this summer, it is obvious that the maintenance crew has worked very hard to get the course back in shape. The fairways were freshly cut and the greens were in great shape (large and very receptive). Really fun course with some great views!
This course is well maintained.
Great course which will challenge the best golfers.
Course has potential but needs some work.
Some greens were slow and some were medium speed. Played the North then the West course. Layout was nice, but conditions were inconsistent. Some sand traps were nicely raked and soft, others were rock hard and had grass growing in the sand trap. I know the area has had a ton of rain this year, but some spots you couldn't even walk in the fairway without getting your shoes soaked. Overall, not a bad course, but by no means was great. Would only go again if there was a good deal.
VERY WET
We started off on the North course which was extremely wet, perhaps should not have been played. The second nine was played on the south course which was better but certainly not a course I would pay to play again.
Solid, fun tracks
Etowah Valley reminds me of most 27 hole facilities: a little chaotic, average conditions, and the holes don't feel designed and built; they seem to be fit in wherever in an amateurish manner. However, I still enjoy playing there. All three 9's have great holes, and everyone loves variety. Conditions are average to solid, despite some bad patches throughout the property, and greens are pretty good for the area. Overall, I would try to play for under $30.00. The course is superior to municipal or farm field golf...just lacks that look or design or feel expected from resort-quality golf. If the Grove Park is a 10 (for the area) I would give Etowah Valley a solid 6.8/10.
Good course with friendly staff.
Course in good condition after a record spring and summer rainfall. Any of the 27 holes are a pleasure to play and offer a reasonable challenge. The staff, from starter to cart maintenance, were all very friendly and efficient. I will definitely play this course again.
Had a great time and the course was in good shape considering all the rain we've had this summer!
We had a very good time at Etowah. Because they have three nines, the starter was able to recommend two nines that were the least congested and therefore allowed us to enjoy continuous play with very little delay. Even when I don't play very well, that tends to make for enjoyable play. I will go back there to play again soon.
