Fun layout
The holes are varied and interesting. I look forward to playing there again, only without 30 mph winds.
Early Spring Conditions - Nice Round
Greens in very good shape, but fairways in winter recovery. Staff always friendly.

1st time playing this course. Played south to west.... really liked the hilly west course.

WORST COURSE IN WESTERN NC
I'm not exaggerating or embellishing at all. Let me start by saying I'm not one to hold grudges or be petty, and up until this last visit this was still my local go-to course due to proximity of my house. But I've played just about every public course in western NC and this place continues to be the WORST golf experience within the western part of NC. Even long term members agree that this course is a trash hole and only belong because it's nearby.
Conditions are always terrible. I've never once played here where there was actually sand in the bunkers. The fairways are always a mud bowl and it's regularly cart path only.
Driving range, if it's even open, is nearly always mat only and the machine is almost always out of balls. The staff is always standoff-ish and unfriendly as if you're an inconvenience to their already failing property.
All that said, this course was still a regular visit from me as it's the most local course to me and paying to walk 9 was always a reasonable experience to get some practice reps in. BUT NOW A NEW RULE to the course is NO MORE WALKING unless you're a member?! These clowns tried to charge me $30 to walk 9!!!
If you're local, go to Cummings Cove or Connestee Falls. If you're looking for a range for to ForeU in Brevard or Fireside in Hendersonville.
If you were considering a stay-and-play package: Don't do it. There are so many better option than this trash.
Nice day
Have been playing this course for years. It hasn’t always been in the best shape last few years but was much better today. Greens were really good! All and all a pretty good value for the money
Beautiful fall day
The course was in really good shape. The young guy in the shop was very helpful. We played in 3 1/2 hours with not a cloud in the sky and 70 degrees. Just a beautiful fall day!
Very Busy
Were scheduled to play South and West. Some holes there were 3 groups waiting at the tee box. Decided to play South twice. Second nine on the south was smooth sailing.
Cool Sunday afternoon
I always enjoy playing this course. We were supposed to play South and West. We got stacked up to 3 groups waiting at the tee box. After the front 9 we went to the West #1. It was backed up also. We decided to play the South again and smooth sailing. Our tee time was 2:02 so we wanted to get 18 in before it got dark. Normally I wouldn't rush. If we stayed on the West we probably wouldn't have gotten done.
Course conditions below par
The greens had been punched and sanded recently so very bumpy and slow. Could have done better job of removing debris from green and rolling. Sand traps are in bad shape with standing water or hardpacked. Fairways were good.
4 1/2 hour round felt slower since we were a twosome.
In area for a wedding
We had 2 foursomes playing. The groom was with us so we had time constraint. We teed off at 8:34 and 8:42. We finished at 1:05. Which was plenty of time to get him to the altar at 5. The pros hoped staff and starter were great. Beautiful course. Greens and fairways were in excellent shape despite another of rain the day before. The greens had enough slope and undulations to be challenging. Very playable course.
Good Value
Enjoyed playing but very slow pace as we were behind a fivesome with 2 walking and 2 riding in cart. Maybe weekday would be less crowded than a Saturday. Course in good shape with all the rain we've had this summer. Very limited grill offering only packaged food, We will definitely play again.
