Laurel Ridge Country Club

We had booked our golf trip weeks in advance. Played Springdale Resort, Sequoia National and then Laurel Ridge. BAD DECISION. The course was in awful shape. Multiple tee boxes were barely playable due to tall crabgrass, almost 100% sand due with some Poa, and several were completely uncut. Then, Laurel Ridge decided to aerate and sand several greens (some more heavily than others). Additionally, most of the greens had not been cut which made the rolls slow and not true. The worst part is that we paid $130 for the round. Do you think the Pro Shop gave us a heads up or at least discounted our round? NO.

Laurel Ridge should have called us given us a heads up ahead of time and alerted us to condition's. But, we were coming from out of town and they knew it, therefore, they didn't care.

Bottom line, DO NOT PLAY LAUREL RIDGE!!! Springdale Resort and Sequoia National were phenomenal!!

Mountain Golf

Overall nice course. Tons of elevation changes. Some blind tee shots. Recommend driving forward to see the layout before hitting your tee shot. Some tight places to hit off the tee. Greens rolled true. Driver can probably stay in the bag and you’ll be fine on most of the par 4’s. Will definitely be back.

Worth the drive

Course is about 45 minutes out of Asheville NC. Tucked away in the mountains - lots of challenging holes and scenic views. Small undulating greens. Rough deep - stay in the fairway. Lot of blind shots

Western NC Bushwood

If you enjoy being around pompous members who wish the course was not public, then this is your kind of golf outing. Never seen so many snobs who didn't want "outsiders" playing their little course. Other than this fine attribute the course was well maintained and the pro shop/service staff was very friendly.
