Salishan Coastal Lodge & Spa

This is not a links course by any stretch of the imagination as the front 9 is parkland with elevations changes and the back allows a few water views but overall this is an interesting and challenging track. The greens are in great shape and roll true and fast. There are still some conditioning issues in that some of the fairways can be shaggy and a few bunkers had grass growing in them, probably as a result of the cutbacks in staff when the pandemic hit. This is also one of the few courses where there are still rakes in the bunkers if you care to use them. Only downside is the presence of mowed grass clumps in many fairways which can give you some very funky shots with the grass stuck to you ball. Still a great layout and I'd play it again just for the greens alone.

This is a completely amazing course! One of my top 3 for sure and I’ve played hundreds of courses all over the US. The greens and fairways were immaculate. The only thing better than the course is the staff! Frank was a complete pleasure and Tom (the pro) is just a great guy. A MUST play for anyone who enjoys great golf and even better people!!!

on the front 9, you play in a serene forest setting. On the back, you hear the roar of crashing waves and have a beautiful ocean view.

Course is in great condition, friendly staff & beautiful weather for a round of golf with friends and family!

Salishan is a great course. One would think it would be in prime condition for July 4th weekend (busiest of the year so far?). No; fairways rough (mowed grass laying on fairways, splotchy). Greens were good.. Snack bar not open?? Garbage cans overflowing. Practice ball machine not working correctly. Too expensive for what you get. I’ve played here over twenty years. This is worst condition I have seen. Bob
