Champion Lakes

We had a wonderful day of golf and the course conditions could not have been better. The course has many holes that have narrow driving areas. The greens were very fast and in great condition.

I hadn't played here for several years. I forgot how great the views are . The greens were excellent. A pleasure to play. Dick Groat and all the staff were friendly and accomodating.

beautiful course not easy by any means some narrow fairways ball placement off the tee is a major plus long course from the white tees can't imagine playing the back tees

This is not a course for the beginner golfer. Tree lined fairways and fast greens will challenge even the most skilled golfers. The course was in excellent condition and although the greens are fast, the roll was true.

Good course trouble well placed, a fairway may narrow or uphill green farther away than you think.

This is a course that requires your full attention. It plays long and requires you to have a full complement of shot skills. If you want the feel of a tour course, this is a winner.

Sweet course that we liked a lot and will play again.Greens are fast and not beat up.Fairways were good and their was enough rough to make a difference.Course is pleasing to the eye from the tees.

played wednesday. Very nice day. course is in great shape and the greens are fast. very enjoyable country scenry. Sat on their patio and had lunch just breathtaking views. Highly recommend. A must. Staff was so nice and accommodating can't wait to go back

Course was in excellent shape. Due to recent rains the rough was lush, which made keeping the ball in the fairways a must. Greens rolled very well. Just a great course to play.

Great value and very challenging. Best course around for the money. The new course superintendent has made this a MUST play in W. Pa. It is worth the drive.

Nice course that I've played a couple times now good conditions good greens much more enjoyable in summer than the fall(too many leaves ) the only complaint I have is the rough is cut too long it just slows play and hard to find your ball just off the fairway I would say course is more difficult than slope rating it has a couple of goofy holes otherwise a good layout fun to play

It was a good price for a Sunday round of golf. Champion Lakes is a challenging track and it was the bargain that I was looking for at a discounted cost. I will golf there once again if the price is right.

Always challenging and always in good shape. Good mix of hard challenging and hard holes and nice relaxing holes. This course makes you think from number 2 all the way to the layup om 18. Bring your A game.

Couldn't have been a nicer day or a better course.

If you are a Pittsburgh Pirate fan who wants a challenge, this is THE course for you.

Course is nice shape, greens were fast. Leaves started to be an issue along with some extra high fairways.Tee boxes and fairways were recently airated.

Largest issue had to deal with were nats/bugs. Have been to the course previously and never had this issue. Asked one of the workers and said "they" were coming from the "river"? and "they" were suppose to spray. Should have stopped after 9 and asked for $ back, but tolerated the bugs to enjoy the weather and views.

A hot deal I could not pass up. Crews were out aerating fareways, which made a couple of holes kind of unplayable from the fareway. That's OK. From the name, I thought there would be more water, but really only a few ponds in play. The amenities are lacking a bit (e.g., old carts) but the course itself is great, with some challanging narrow fareways, doglegs, and well maintained bunkers. It can punish you when you don't hit them straight, especially now with the leaves falling. The greens are fast and fair, with some slope and undulation... some of the best I have played.

The greens were consitant and the bunkers were beautiful and easy to play out of. The guy at the fronts desk was not friendly at all and was visibly angry that I got a HOTDEAL rate for 11:00 a.m. on a Wednesday and went on to tell me how Golfnow made an error. He then went on to say "whatever" and just kinda tossed the key for the cart on the counter. He also gave me the feeling that I didn't "belong" there before the payment situation came up. However, It's a fabulous course and would go back despite the unfriendlyness at the pro shop.
