Good course for the price
Overall, the course was good. My performance was that of the Stillers in the playoff. Garbage. However, that is not the courses fault just Tomlins. I will play again.
My "go to" course
Friendly staff, well maintained course. What more do you need
The course was in very good shape. Pace of play was good the sand traps were well taken care of. The greens were very nice. Would recommend trying this course. It very fair and if you place your shots in the right place you can score. I will be 70 in a few months and I played the white tees.
Perfectly OK
Greens are really soft and a little bumpy. A lot of short par 4’s but a perfectly decent course with friendly staff.
Wonderful Course!
This course was in excellent condition and was perfect to play with my three great friends. We all thought the greens were soft enough to have a fair chip shot, but at the same time fast enough to make every putt a challenge. I will definitely be coming back to this course! Also, I was told a lot of the course architects are graduates from Penn State. No wonder it was so enjoyable!
Always good
My issue doesn’t lie with course play or speed. The course is always in good condition. The Greens were great, tee boxes nice, and fairways were looking pristine.
My issue lies with how the pro shop is managed. The people working inside have no sense of urgency and never have anything prepared for the busiest times during the morning (when everyone is making the turn). Food is never ready, and nobody is tending the cash register. For these reasons, I spent 20 minutes at the turn when all I needed was a water and a hot dog. The goal is to get people moving at the turn, not slow down pace.
