Challenging course
For a beginner it is a challenging course. It was my first time out for the year and first time playing here. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever played. I will be returning soon now I have a feel for the layout. Staff was very friendly!
Surprisingly nice!
Played Mount Airy for the first time today. Greens were recently aerated, but were in good shape. Fairways and tee boxes were maintained nicely. Some of the rough was a little patchy, but it’s still early in the season. The layout is challenging. Biggest complaints are the sand traps and the carts. The sand traps were atrocious. Some were patches of sand and grass. Others had rocks the size of golf balls mixed in with the sand. The edges were pretty poor. Honestly embarrassing sand traps for a course that promotes itself as a resort course. The carts were underpowered and annoyingly slow. Biggest positives were the pace of play and the staff. We played in 4 hours flat. Almost no waiting at all. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the starter. I’ll definitely play again when I’m up this way. However, please, for the love of god, fix the sand traps and update the carts.
Great Day of Golf
Great day, course had perfect conditions today. Pace of play was a little backed up and it took an extra half hour to play than it was intended. (Took 5 hours when pace of play was 4 1/2 hours) other than that it was perfect today.
Super slow do not play
I've played here 2 times. The pace is play is horrible and they won't do anything to help. Avoid this course - which is a shame because the course itself is fun/interesting/challenging. Not worth the 6 hour pace of play though.
Great day Great course!
Played with family on a nice summer day. Greens were great. Fairways were very good. Holes layout was very good. Elevation changes were fun. Hole #1 is a beast one of the hardest opening holes that I have played judge for yourself. I feel that this is one of the best value courses in the Poconos for your $. Give it a try you will see for yourself.
fun
nice staff, course in good condition. will be back!!!
Nice Course But Needs Targets For Tee Shots
This is an interesting course, but without a guide you will hit a lot of drives through fairways and into woods. I hit 5 beautiful drives that I either had to take a penalty on or chip out from the woods. I don't know if the course yardage book tells you where to aim off the tees. If it doesn't, I would skip this course. Other than that, it is a fun course to play, especially if you play it more than once.
Outstanding course layout, with unparrelleled views and challenging holes. Wonderful course, can't wait to play again.
Great course
Starter was friendly, pace expectations set up front, course was in great shape. Beautiful views, highly recommend playing Mt Airy.
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY
Staff very stoic and minimally interested in answering questions. No family cart accommodations or junior clubs to rent. If you have more than one kid who plays, this is NOT for you. Choose another resort and course!
