The best 18 holes "Sports Illustrated" 1966
Tough mountain course based on the best 18 holes at in 1966 as picked by sports illustrated, This course was falling down a few years ago but the last two year the owners must of sunk a ton of money in it as it is in the best shape it has ever been in.
If your in the area and up to a challenge try it out.
This course is great!
This is the third time I played this course, yet I am still amazed how great this course is. Beautiful course! It's quite a drive from Jersey City but, it is really worth it.
very pretty views
A mixture of all you want in the Pocono area, quite challenging Picturesqe
Bring your long game
This course is for the experienced golfer. There are several blind wholes off the tee, many narrow fairways and slopped shots. The course is long and steep so bring your big game.
Course is challenging, but fun
Enjoyed playing this course on the holiday, great fun and value for the money spent
Challenging, but gimmicky
Played 5/27. disappointed they had a tournament on a Holiday playing ahead do us. Pace of play was very slow, with no help from any ranger. course was very challenging, especially the first hole, par 5, uphill and very long. Not a good starting hole. No practice facilities, not even a putting green. Might be fun on a slow day
Course at Mount Airy.
I had not played Mt Airy in several years. The course was in excellent condition. It represented a real challenge (from the tips). I would gladly play this course again.
What a great round.
This course is fantastic! Fully green and well kept. Many changes that enhance play.
Interesting holes based on different courses.
Excellent condition. Very very well maintained. Enjoyable round of golf. One negative -- I miss the par 5 16th, since changed to a par 4.>MB
Great value, fun place to play
Got to the course a bit early for my tee time and they sent me out right away. The starter even gave me a heads up on the first hole (a very long uphill par 5) the course was definitely a bit quirky and short at times. Lost a couple balls on dead straight drives due to inaccurate tee signs that don't really give you a accurate depiction holes 7, 13 and 16 especially) overall maintenance was real nice. only complaint in that department was the sand is hard as anything. If they fluff those up it can be a great course.
Definitely worth a play IMO.
In great condition and challenging
Had a great time at Mount Airy. I played there twice before and did not play well either time. This time I was on my game and really enjoyed the afternoon. After making par on the first hole, which is a tough hole, it was all fun from there. It was in great condition. Putting was really true. Some of the holes will make you think about your tee shot and club selection. Get there. You will enjoy it.
Very challenging but playable course.
Played it for the first time. Heard there was a lot of blind shots, which there are, but course is fair with some room for error. Greens were in great shape as well. Great course for the money.
Great features
18 holes of breath taking scenery. Very challenging course, not for the beginner. Staff us fantastic, and the course is perfectly manicured and maintained
Nice, but would play other courses in the area first.
Was nice, but after playing other courses near by (Jack Frost National, Split Rock and Great Bear ), was a little disappointed. Had a couple very interesting holes.
Of course, a big bonus is that the Casino is right there.
Really can't beat the value though, paid $25 through GolfNow.
Great course, amazing price
Booked on GolfNow for $30 at noon on a Sunday at end of April. Cart included in price. Amazing course especially for the price. Great par 5's, scenic par 3's and relatively easy par 4's. Very scenic course with lots of water and plenty of challenging slopes. Fairways well maintained. Greens were aerated probably 2 weeks prior so greens were a little unpredictable. Will definitely go back and am sure the greens will be in great shape.
Great layout and great people
Stayed at the casino for the weekend and got the course on Golfnow. Loved the design and the staff. The greens were still coming in so unfair to criticize. Will certainly be back.
I play the course often and the price is right and everyone is pleaseant
Playing a number of courses in the Poconos this one is one of my favorites and when they role the greens it will be even better for all to enjoy the challenges they provide, This is our spring training after all, give it a try.
Great and Challenging
Mt. Airy was a great course. It's a very challenging course, not for the beginner. With many blind tee shots, it's also good to know the layout. The fairways were beautiful, while the greens were still waking up from Winter. Soon the whole course will be pristine. Landscapers were busy, but not annoying. Starter and desk were very helpful! Overall, a great day, and a great course.
Great course with beautiful views
The course was in excellent shape and very well maintained. It rained all day the day before so it was cart path only all day which extended play but still and awesome time. The views from the course were amazing throughout the day. The course is challenging but well worth the price paid.
Don't miss an opportunity to try this course.
A great venue for all Lehigh Valley and golfers from Northern NJ. Excellent conditions, excellent value and the changing elevations make the course most enjoyable.
