About Pocono Manor Resort & Spa
Life changed at Pocono Manor on Nov. 1, 2019, when a fire ripped through the historic inn, causing significant damage that's led to an ongoing closure. Although there are plans to renovate and rebuild, only the golf course is currently open. Currently, golfers looking to stay and play the historic course can book accommodations at nearby partner properties through the resort website. There is food available in the clubhouse.Facts

Challenging course in good condition.
I got an excellent price for greens fees over the Internet, including cart. The course is par-72 and challenging. No sand traps that I can remember but there were sand trap-sized mounds covered in knee-high grass that were more difficult to get out of. Also, little or no water to contend with. Fairways and greens were both in nice shape.
Played the east and west courses in one day. East has their own feel and style. Had a great time!
East and West courses have a different feel. East has a few hinkie holes and the west is long and flatter. Play both!
Temporary green on 2nd hole, conditions fair
Pocono Manor East is old course, with many short holes that had blind tee shots. The first 6 holes took over an 1 and 3/4 to play.
great course to play cutout of the mountian
a donald ross gem in the poconos a must play course with small greens that are great to putt on
West Course: Long, open, no hazards
The West Course is a fun course to practice your game on. The fairways are wide open, with lots of room between fairway and the woods, and is generally in good shape. The greens are clean, very receptive, but slower than many other courses. No bunkers and no water hazards; just a few mounds with long fescue to avoid.
Because the course is long (6700 yards from the whites) I find I am approaching greens from 190-210 yards on some par 4s. This requires an accurate shot to hit what is usually a smallish green. If you miss the green in regulation, then it's the challenge to get up and down to save par.
This is what I find fun about this course.
The course seemed uneventful.
The course just seemed too plain no sand traps, no releif nothing challenging to play though.Long straight and plain
Great day, play moved along, good course conditions
Warm, sunny and little breeze with fall foliage almost there. Course in good to excellent conditions, greens great and although not fast gave a true predictable roll. Had a great time with friends although the longish par 3s did me in.
If you never played this course before goodluck !
If you like alot of sidehill lies this is for you. Some of the holes you have no idea where you are going on your tee shot.
best value in the poconos
Love Pocono Manor West - it's a bombers paradise. One of my favorite pocono courses. It's a crying shame they're going to bulldoze 9 holes of the course for the proposed mega water park. Hoping against hope that doesn't happen - it's a gem of a golf course (much prefer it to the quirkiness of the east course)
Just fine
There are some affordable course in Pocono, specially, for a beginners. This course is just fine.
A Great Round of Golf!
I fell in love with this course. For a mountain course the fairways are surprisingly wide and forgiving. I found the hills challenging but playable. Fairways and greens were in great shape. I can't wait to return and play again.
Course was good and the greens were nice.
The west course is a bit more monotonous than the east, but still provided some great golf and at an extremely fair price. The staff were kind, unlike some golf course staff. The range was decent, but it provided all the practice I needed.
Great course.
Great course, wide fairways, very scenic. Only bad feature was Hole #7 was closed, and youplayed a temporary hole @#2
Pocono Manor West
You cant beat this course for the price! I have played both the East and the West course. I like the West because it is longer and I find the East to be more challenging because its has more hills. Try them both, they are both fun to play!
Excellent mountain course
One of our favorite mountain courses...lots of space on the fairways, but plenty of trees & rough on the sides. Very few sand bunkers, but lots of mounds with tall grasses that gobble up your ball if you hit them. Nice amenities, nice staff, beautiful hotel if you'd like to stay over.
