Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
Nice Course
We had a 1.50 tee time didn’t get our carts until 2.00 . Pace of play was bad on the front nine took two hours and fifty minutes.
Course layout
Narrow and challenging; great course to help you improve your game.
Decent all-around
We were the second group out on a Sunday morning and it still took 4.5 hours to play. Never saw a course marshall. The course was in really good shape and the greens rolled beautifully except for a couple divots and one gopher hole. The only bad part of course condition was the bunkers looked like they hadn’t been raked in a week. Paid $80 to play and it was a good course with lots of trees and a few doglegs to make it interesting. I honestly can’t remember one hole from another as they all seemed similar. Somewhat monotonous but still a good course. Didn’t see a real “signature hole” on the Creek/Oaks nines for a photo op. Still enjoyed it.
Hyatt 3-10-23
Greens were in great shape, but i think they need to trim back the trees on some of the holes. It seems the trees are closing in and making it very difficult on some tee shots.
Best value in San antonio
The staff is the absolute friendliest and helpful. They made me feel welcomed. The courses were is fantastic condition. They have a well manicured practice area. Very happy customer. I will return to play again soon.
Price
Price was more than listed on golf now. Paid what they said was the booking fee. Price listed was misleading. Will never play here again. May not ever use golf now again because they listed a price that was not the actual price. Very disappointed.
Fun day
Visiting from out of state, very good condition for this time of year. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially John at the starter hut who shuttled me to my car after the round.
I had to park in distant lot as the primary lot was completely full. A bag drop would have been helpful as I had to carry my gear from the distant lot on arrival.
Scheduling Issue / Unfriendly Staff
I show up 5 min late to my 1PM tee time. Gentleman who checks you in was rude calling out my last name as I was walking up telling me to hurry or I would need to wait an hour to golf, keep in mind I just finished paying $174 for my father and I to play here for the first time. Not only does he call us out but I didn’t even know where I was driving to as there are 3 different course layouts on the resort and I have no clue which one I’m starting off at. All of this for me to pull off to the Tee Box and have to wait for 3 gentlemen golfing in the middle of the fairway. They clearly need to adjust their scheduling and learn to cut off folks in order to allow them to enjoy their $’s worth of golf. I also had a senior trio playing behind my father and I talk crap the entire time hoping “we didn’t hold them up” horrible experience for my moneys worth. Definitely taking my $174 and golfing at a different course next time. The Hyatt seems to worry more about making $$$ and squeezing folks in rather than making it about the experience for their visitor.
Nice Layout
The layout is very well done, played the oaks and lake 9's...the conditions were better than many in the area, the greens rolled pretty well although their is some minor bare spots...the only issue was the tee boxes were a little suspect but overall the course was in good shape. depending on the tees playing the course is a challenge and not really for the beginner. The staff is very good...will be back
