About Lighthouse Country Club
Located in the Texas Hill Country just off of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club in Kingsland is an 18-hole golf course with several vacation homes to rent out. These 2-bedroom/2-bathroom 1,300-square-foot units are steps from the clubhouse, which features dining and overlooks the scenic golf course. In addition to these homes, Lighthouse also has an RV park with laundry, picnic area and showers. Lighthouse (formerly Packsaddle Country Club, named after nearby Packsaddle Mountain) is an affordable stay-and-play option. The semi-private golf course, originally opened in 1968 but renovated in 2006 and purchased in 2011, has made the Golfers' Choice Top 25 golf courses in Texas in multiple years and Golfers' Choice best value in the country list.Facts

Always in great shape
I play here probably monthly. The greens are slick but fair. Fairways in good shape as well. Well worth the money.
Nice hidden gem
Course was in great shape, good layout, friendly staff and you can't beat the value for the price. It's a little out of the way/off the beaten path, but it's well worth the money and the trip. I highly recommend you play this course

Hill Country Gem
Challenging, but fair layout with great views of the Packsaddle mountains. Greens are in excellent shape and roll true and very fast. Manicured bunkers (some could use some sand) strategically placed in fairways and greens. Pace of play was excellent! Great track!

Greens fairways hard as a cart path!!
First I have played and been a huge fan of lighthouse for years. We come up from Sun City Georgetown at least once or twice a month,it salways in great shape. We played Tuesday 11/23.
The greens are always pretty quick( we love that) but that day they were rock hard,couldn’t t hold a high flop shot, normal pitches rolled off the greens, putting was ridiculous. We all had 4-6 3 putts. We are all 9 handicappers. Same with the fairways,rock hard. The traps most had hard packed and little sand. On the back we set a rule,”free drop from traps”
Half way thru the back we almost left, just unreal.
Now again let me say, I have always in the past been a great fan of lighthouse. This was just not a good experience at all and all of us commented we d not be back for a long time. We ve played several courses in the area,they are not having these issues. Real disappointment.

Beautiful views and fun challenges
Overall this course is so fun to play. The holes are pretty narrow so there’s a big emphasis on controlling your drive. If you’re like me and favor slicing the ball you’ll find your new habitat is the rough - and the rough at this course is… well, very rough. But the views are fantastic. After the 9th hole it seemed we were all alone and the pace was excellent, and there’s a lot of fun challenging holes. Overall, this course is a real treat to play and is worth checking out if you haven’t been before.
