About
Located in the town of Kingsland on the shores of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club features 18 holes set in a charming, hill country in the heart of the Highland Lakes. The course was originally built in 1968, winds through scenic Hill Country property full of oak trees and red granite rock outcroppings. From many points, Packsaddle Mountain, one of the Hill Country's highest points, is in view from many spots on the course.
Lighthouse was formerly named Packsaddle Golf Club until the name changed in the fall of 2011 when new owners Rick & Mercy Howe purchased the bankrupt property and revitalized the golf course. Part of the enhancement was the construction of a brand new lighthouse at the clubhouse. In addition on on-course enhancements, Lighthouse constructed a handful of two-bedroom condos for stay-and-play packages and longer term winter homes.
In addition to the golf course, the facility also features a driving range, short game area and a full restaurant, bar and banquet facility.

Beautiful course
Played in Easter. Staff was friendly. Course was in great shape
Better than expected
I’ll admit that I wasn’t expecting much, but the course was better than I thought it would be. Greens ran well and there definitely were some challenges in the wind.
Good course at great price
Lighthouse Country Club was a pleasant surprise. The greens ran true and the pace of play was great (one group let us play through), but overall a good experience and would play again given the chance.

Always a pleasur….
I play Lighthouse usually 2-4 times a month and find the drive out to Kingsland well worth it.
The staff are awesome; down to earth Texans that work hard and enjoy the day…. Which I greatly appreciate.
The course is continually being maintained, and is challenging w/o being over the top difficult.
I’d like to see more of a sand mixture in the bunkers; then again, if I’d avoid them. Grin. And look forward to the repairs being completed on the proshop. It’s nice having a grass/sand range too to warm up on.
Thank you staff and maintenance crew for a pleasurable experience.

Avid fan of, and player of Lighthouse. The staff are awesome and friendly, and the course challenging; yet, not overwhelming. While there was roofing of the clubhouse being completed; it did not impact play. Until next time….
