About Lighthouse Country Club
Located in the Texas Hill Country just off of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club in Kingsland is an 18-hole golf course with several vacation homes to rent out. These 2-bedroom/2-bathroom 1,300-square-foot units are steps from the clubhouse, which features dining and overlooks the scenic golf course. In addition to these homes, Lighthouse also has an RV park with laundry, picnic area and showers. Lighthouse (formerly Packsaddle Country Club, named after nearby Packsaddle Mountain) is an affordable stay-and-play option. The semi-private golf course, originally opened in 1968 but renovated in 2006 and purchased in 2011, has made the Golfers' Choice Top 25 golf courses in Texas in multiple years and Golfers' Choice best value in the country list.Facts

My friends and i loved playing this course! We drove an hour just to play. Best value by far for any course we’ve played in awhile.

Great to get out and play Lighthouse CC. The course was in great shape and I enjoyed the challenge of this well maintained course. Staff were courteous and professional.

Don't let the length fool you.
The course was in good shape, especially the greens. The course is short by today's standards, but it is unforgiving. What appears to be a fairly wide open course is not at all. Tee shot placement is critical. You will need to play this course to understand.

Great place to play
We try to make it to this course once a week. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The staff is working overtime to keep everything sanitized and safe for play plus keep a close eye on pace of play to avoid wait times. Prices are incredible, too. Definitely our favorite course to play!

Worth the drive
I drove 45 minute to play Lighthouse and it was definitely worth the drive. I had played here once before and I had forgotten how nice it is. The fairways were in good shape and the green were excellent. You get to use all of your clubs on this course which is fun. I will play here more often as it is a great value.

Great day on the course
The course was in great shape with firm fairways and green. There was a good crowd at he course but the pace of play was steady for our mixed foursome.

Fine Place to Play Golf
The owner and staff have gone 100% of the way to sterilize the facilities, carts, pins, counters, etc. They are following the government and CDC guidelines for social distancing by allowing one rider per cart. I don’t know of a single thing more they could do to ensure the safety of their customers. The course is in great shape and is constantly being groomed.

A bit of a surprise I must say....
We always play here and the greens are just superb. The Hot Deal was awesome, less than $30 per player on a Sunday. You can’t beat that. But the greens were horrible to their standards. Now let’s be fair here, it’s transition time. When greens go from dormant or slightly over seeded to spring and growing season a superintendent has responsibilities to verticut and let the grass grow out and reestablish. It’s all part of getting to golf year round in Central Texas. But the greens were long, slow, and not much fun. Many of the greenside bunkers have little to no sand in them. Just grab a rake and slide one through.
The owner is as kind of a man as can be. He truly cares and wants a quality product. He made a TREMENDOUS hire in his new Director of Golf. Leaders position their employees to make decisions and improvements based on data. Hopefully he’ll allow the Director and Superintendent to collaborate and define a course of action to get things back to the quality I’m used to seeing out there.
I’ll definitely be back. It’s just a matter of when.
