Located in the Texas Hill Country just off of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club in Kingsland is an 18-hole golf course with several vacation homes to rent out. These 2-bedroom/2-bathroom 1,300-square-foot units are steps from the clubhouse, which features dining and overlooks the scenic golf course. In addition to these homes, Lighthouse also has an RV park with laundry, picnic area and showers. Lighthouse (formerly Packsaddle Country Club, named after nearby Packsaddle Mountain) is an affordable stay-and-play option. The semi-private golf course, originally opened in 1968 but renovated in 2006 and purchased in 2011, has made the Golfers' Choice Top 25 golf courses in Texas in multiple years and Golfers' Choice best value in the country list.Facts

Good course at great price
Lighthouse Country Club was a pleasant surprise. The greens ran true and the pace of play was great (one group let us play through), but overall a good experience and would play again given the chance.

Scenic, tricky layout that is a blast to play! Very unique golf course and great area!
Always a pleasur….
I play Lighthouse usually 2-4 times a month and find the drive out to Kingsland well worth it.
The staff are awesome; down to earth Texans that work hard and enjoy the day…. Which I greatly appreciate.
The course is continually being maintained, and is challenging w/o being over the top difficult.
I’d like to see more of a sand mixture in the bunkers; then again, if I’d avoid them. Grin. And look forward to the repairs being completed on the proshop. It’s nice having a grass/sand range too to warm up on.
Thank you staff and maintenance crew for a pleasurable experience.

Avid fan of, and player of Lighthouse. The staff are awesome and friendly, and the course challenging; yet, not overwhelming. While there was roofing of the clubhouse being completed; it did not impact play. Until next time….
Great greens, dormant fast fairways
Course was fun to play, greens are quick and can be tricky, layout is fun, just wish last hole was converted back to a par 4 vs a par 3, but it is a very challenging green. Easy and relaxed environment, Rick the owner was gracious and regaled us with some local stories. Club facilities are being updated, so restaurant and bar are temporarily closed, likely open April/May 2026.
Always a good day golfing
Course was in pretty good shape but fairways were very firm. A lot of good, long drives but approach shots were tricky.

Great course, good value for the money. It was fun and greens are in great conditions. I would recommend trying it.
