Great Hill Country course
We were supposed to play 4-22-13 but had to change plans so we called the course and played 4-20-13. This course which was called Packsaddle went a major renovation in 2006 and the new holes are fantastic. Greens are excellent. The people who work there are very nice. Have been playing her since 1998.
fun but challenging
What a difference a year makes. We have played this course for the past 4 years and it is amazing the difference since it was purchased a couple of years ago. These new owners truly want this course to be something enjoyed by all. We had a great time. The staff has always been something special, but now the course is too!!
Best secret of good golf in Hill Country.Try the back tees if you want to be challenged.
Beautiful Hill Country with flowers for ladies and birdies for real golfers unless you play the back tees ,then good luck.
Do not miss the restaurant with great food from a great staff.
I have no interest in this course except love to pass on deals to others.
Too early in the Spring for course conditions
Early Spring and the course showed considerable wear/dormant grass. Really like the front nine. Boring on the back. Play was backed up considerably. Would recommend when weather allows course to improve.
Over booked, late start, lots of elderly slow players
If you like playing at a reasonable pace do not play this course in good weather because it will be full of elderly slow players.
great course
Course in great shape All around great place to play. Staff are super friendly
Could be great in spring or fall
The greens weren't over seeded, but I have no other complaints.
I'm really looking forward to playing this when things green up.
This course has difficult holes and some easy holes. Its very challenging.
The course is challenging, but a fun course to play. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This course has challenging features
Great Course I will play again sometime next week.
fun course
a very enjoyable course to play, great layout on front nine
Great course for any level of golfer.
This course is one of the best in the Hill Country. Just outside of Austin, without the crowd. They have a Bar/Grill there also, best food in the area.
Course Condition
The Golf course is under new ownership and they are doing a great job with course maintenance and staffing. The course has been established and new construction on roads is complete. If you are looking to build a new home on this course now is a great time. The value of play verses cost of play is outstanding. Kingsland is a small town with lots of opportunity for growth, and expansion. If you are in the area give The Lighthouse Golf Course a visit. I'm thinking you'll have a wonderful time.
Course is in better shape than it has ever been!
New owners have taken this course to heart. They have upgraded all features on the course and it shows.
Interesting granite formations worked into course
Hill Country golf course which has made a dramatic turnaround. In the last year, Lighthouse has been transformed into a very enjoyable tract. The greens are well maintained and course has some unique featueres using the natural granite formations of the area.
