Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe (formerly the La Torretta Golf Resort), is a newly branded and updated resort on the shores of Lake Conroe near Houston, Texas. The property reopened in 2020 and features an 18-hole golf course designed in 2007 by Jeffrey Blume. The resort features lakefront access to Lake Conroe as well as multiple pools and a swim-up bar. There is a large amount of group and meeting space for corporate events and weddings. For larger groups and families, there are over 30 2- and 3-bedroom villas to choose from.Facts

Well kept course
Nice course, laid back vibes. I wish they had coolers.
Worth Extra Drive
After complaining at Edwin Watts about clover and postage stamp greens at other courses, I made the drive to Margaritaville and was pleased that I did. Greens are professionally maintained, not too much water or sand traps. Pace of play was appropriately quick.
Excllent Choice
Enjoyed playing this course.back 9 holes were reall challenging
Staff was very frendly and inviting.
Locker room was excellent
Cart girl provided excellent service and freindly service.We really appricated their freindly attitudes
Great course
Golf course is in excellent condition. Haven't played here in 15 years because the course was not in decent shape the last time I played. It's definitely gotten better. Price is a bit high still but quality of golf is so much better.
This course is Amazing
I played here about 3 years ago and it was in rough shape but today when I went out it was in the best condition I’ve seen it. Fairways were green and plush with little to none hardpan and the greens were rolling smooth and true.
Night and Day
A Big improvement has been made in course condition, compared to a couple of years of Ugly. Fairways and Greens are better than most, right now. Still some threadbare spots here and there, FW more than the greens . All in all 3.5 to 4 Stars
Great conditions. Leaves are starting to fall so can be tricky in some places to find ball.

A good day with Rob and Beaux...Great breeze and golfers were friendly to let us go by.
Margaritaville GC poor condition
No clear markings for tee boxes.
Greens are mostly spotty with bare dirts and black molds.

Easy check-in, easy hooking up with someone to play with
One of These Days
As usual the Fairways were nicely cut and beautiful views of the wildlife. Appreciated the tractor and lawn guys turning the engines off while swinging. Money Shot for the Hole in One is getting closer... one of these days.

Lost greens
They’ve lost their greens this year. Great course layout, sad to see.
Decent round-good value
I played on a hot deal so the round wasn't a bad value. Conditions weren't good, greens had bare patches and the course was generally shabby in appearance. That said, $50 for 18 holes on a fairly challenging layout is a pretty good value around here!
Tuesday Play
Nice facilities. Some greens were rough and getting burnt out and need some TLC. Course needs a marshal to keep pace of play at or under 4 hours.
