Nice layout
I was a bit worried based on some other reviews but thought I would give it a shot. Have not played here in 15 plus years and was not disappointed. Bunkers absolutely need some work and the rough need some attention in certain areas. But hey, not supposed to hit it there anyway. Greens and fairways were in real good shape considering no rain and the heat. Course challenges you to keep the ball straight. Nice layout. Great pace of play. Will be back.
Course conditions
This course isn’t worth the regular green fees they charge. I only played here with the hot deal pricing. Even at $60 it’s not worth it. Course layout is nice, but the greens weren’t great at all. The pace of play was slow at 4 hours and 35 minutes, and the guy at the front desk wasn’t friendly at all. Must have had a bad day I guess. This could be a pretty nice course if they tried just a bit harder.
Course was fun. Lots of narrow fairways so don’t plan on hitting driver all day. Greens weren’t the best but it’s 105 degrees every day so I understand. Would play again
Margaritaville
The course was in poor condition greens were terrible definitely not worth the money!!
Mixed
Fairways excellent. Greens poor. Rough high. Sand very poor.
Greens are really bad
The greens were terrible, patchy bumpy and the ball will not run true.
Has potential
Not the best experience after a major overnight rainstorm. Cart path only makes for a very trying round. Course is deceptively long so we moved up a set of tees on the back nine and it was more enjoyable after that. Thought the greens were a little strange. Cut pretty tight and rolled pretty good but doesn’t look very asthetic don’t know what the answer is but looks like they need to grow in and then cut them down. A lot of spaces between grass blades. I’m not a geologist but think one should see grass not dirt on a green. Js overall was glad to play there.
Terrible Greens
The greens at Margaritaville were in horrible shape. I won’t be back for a while. The need serious attention.
Margaritaville
The course was not in great shape and the greens were terrible. It was not busy and we were able to play at a great pace.
Would play there again for the right price.
Mud flaps required
Track is the same thin grass fairways and mixed grass greens. Layout is great with exception of a bunch of trees that need trimming along fairways on front 9. Back 9 is more accessible and much more fun than front but the greens are worse than the front. It rained the night before so every bunker was a free drop from the pond of water in each. Cart paths were covered in standing water or a mud slide. Had to wash my bag when I got home. Staff as always laid back and friendly. Wish the had a menu listing over the bar showing what is available. This course could be so much more if it had a little love and money put back into it.
If JB corp wants a two year course improvement plan give me a call. Have chainsaw for step one. Grass in fairways step two, fix bunker drainage, remove and replace greens with 1 type of grass, cart path renovation. For the time being get a cement mixer put sand fertilizer and grass seed together and fill your divot dispensers on the cart with mixture so players can start reseeding the fairways while they play.
Nice layout
The staff was friendly, course was pretty narrow, greens were soft and slow, but not bumpy. The "sand traps" were filled with dirt and muddy though we have not had rain in awhile.
We.had a foursome in front of us playing some kind of scramble, but they ended up backing up probably 5 groups behind us as we never were allowed to play through though they had more than a hole open in front of them and we never saw a marshall.
