About Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Community
On the Texas coast, Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Club in Port Aransas features a rare links golf course in the United States. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer, the course was later shorted to a nine-hole course under 2,500 yards and a three-hole short golf course called the "Loop: as part of the resort's commitment to a family-friendly and relaxed lifestyle. The resort is a residential development that uses Turnkey for its vacation rental properties. Homeowners and guests through the resort have access to a concierge, beach and pool access. There are several bars and restaurants onsite highlighted by the Black Marlin. Port Aransas is located south of Houston near Corpus Christi.Facts

very nice course and right in port A
Greens were great. A few fairways needed repair which was being done while we were there. Will definitely play here again.
The course is in excellent condition
Beautiful golf course. If your looking for a challenging course this is the one for you. My two sons and I had a blast. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning to play again.
Excellent Course
This course was VERY enjoyable to play. The greens were in great condition. The fairways were a bit tight and quite challenging. It's tough to beat the setting with the ocean in the background. I assumed this would be a great course and it still exceeded my expectations. Incredible value. I look forward to playing again soon.
Cool coastal golf on Texas Gulf Coast
Truly one of the most unique golf courses in Texas, Palmilla Beach provides a taste of links golf right next to the Gulf of Mexico, complete with salt air, sea breezes and the challenge that comes with having to battle the prevailing winds. Though certainly not a true links course, it requires a different sort of golf. Run-up shots are an option when the course is dry, but pot bunkers loom as does natural dune vegetation. Couple that with a terrific restaurant and summer entertainment options, and you've got a nice spring-summer destination.
Nice golf course.
Very nice well maintained golf course. Links type by the ocean like Saint Andrews golf course in Scotland. Plays very similar with the wind.
Amazing fairways
Make sure you stay on the fairway with all of your shots, if you don't you'll never find your ball.
Very scenic, narrow and unforgiving
Course has a couple holes on the ocean and is in really great shape. Has a number of blind landing zones from the tee into narrow fairways with a ocean breeze to deal with.
Just Ok!
When I played course was kinda beaten up. Was told the area had been getting a lot of rain. Played better courses for far less green fees. It was just OK.
Great course, bring extra golf balls
The new club house and bar are awesome. Highly recommend this course. Plays a bit tough at times but very enjoyable.
Nice But A Bit Overrated
It's got Arnie's name on it and has a couple of beautiful holes along the coast but I'm not sure I'd consider it a Top 10 course in Texas. Granted, I played it in winter and am sure it would be more appealing to the eyes in the Spring or Summer. Several holes with ground under repair. The back 9 was more beautiful than the front 9. A slope of 108 from the whites seems low considering the thickness of the rough. Mosquitoes were bad on first couple of holes but a cool front blew in and saved us.
Overall, excellent outing!!!!
We couldn't have asked for better weather -- low 60s and extremely calm. The course was in excellent condition. and challenging for a first-timer. Definitely best course in South Texas.
Thanks GolfNow for the excellent prices.
Wish we would have known about the mosquitoes, though. Bring plenty of repellent.
Palmilla Beach
The absolute best golf course in South Texas. Well worth the money and time spent out there. Thank you Golf Now for the great price.
Beautiful Day on Course
Beautiful course to play. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Holes along the shipping channel are always beautiful.
port a
Excellent course greens are true wish I could play it all the time
Super course
Weather was great view was spectacular and I was treated like a member. Great time
Gulf coast challenge.
Challenge your game where there are no trees. Just don't hit it in the rough.
Enjoyable day
Enjoyed the course. Practice facility is top notch. Greens were quick. Over all a great course in this area.
Great Links Layout
The design of the course is excellent. There are tees that will challenge the longest of hitters...and do not forget about the wind! Some of the best greens I have ever played on...fast and true!
Awesome course.
This was my first time playing here. Course is in very good shape. Most of the fairways are comparable to some greens I've played on. Played the day at Palmilla , which is 18 holes lunch then repeat round for 75.00. We were given vouchers for lunch. You have a choice of 3 different items for lunch. I got the hamburger and fries which were very good. Had a great time will definitely be back.
Beautiful Course/Setting!
Everything about the course is top notch! It is well worth the drive.
