About Sonesta Bee Cave
The Sonesta Bee Cave is located 20 minutes west off Austin off Highway 71 in the Hill Country Galleria, home to a collection of shops, bars and restaurants. There is no golf course onsite but there is shuttle service to the nearby Lakeway golf courses, including public Falconhead Golf Club, and the hotel does have some limited access to the private courses at the Clubs of Lakeway. The Sonesta Bee Cave features a large, outdoor courtyard pool, 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a 5,300 square foot ballroom. Lake Travis is minutes away where a marina can be accessed, and world-famous Hamilton Pool is also a short drive away. A highlight of the Sonesta Bee Cave is not only the galleria shops and restaurants but the hotel's own rooftop Meridian 98, which features cocktails and specialty plates in a lively setting that hosts live music.Facts

Great Course
I always enjoy playing this course, because it is a great layout, and always in good shape. Even with an early frost delay and with an afternoon tee time, was still able to get all 18 in. Great practice area makes it even better

Overall reasonable experience but...
At the courses price point getting a mixed set of rental clubs with Nike clubs 10 years old hurt the overall experience. Mightily. Liked the course but without reasonable equipment experience diminished.

Terrific Public Course!
Beautiful surroundings... ample parking... friendly staff... easy check-in... helpful and informative starter. Well maintained course and great playing conditions for the winter season. Open layout and nicely challenging (speed) greens. Very busy facility, but never felt crowded. Pace of play was well managed... never waited more than 2-3 minutes before teeing-off. Will definitely return!

Monday...beautiful weather...slow
I guess most private courses are closed on Monday. With gorgeous weather everybody went to Falconhead. 5 hours and I quit after 15.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Greens and course in great shape. There were a few wet areas that seemed to be over watered and mushy otherwise the course had excellent playing conditions.

Nice venue
Enjoyed the course and staff very friendly. Range was not up to par. Unable to hit driver at range and hitting area beat up.

5.5 hour pace of play and no marshal
Nice course, well maintained. Pace of play was over 5 hours and we didn’t once see a marshal.

Prepaid round for two but unable to play
Arrived an hour before tee time. Proshop didn't have any cart and was informed they had a shootgun start and tee times were delayed by an hour. Ended up chipping and putting in the driving range area as we wait. We decided to check back with the starter after an hour to our surprise was informed we missed our tee time. Proceeded to the proshopband different individual can't explain what happened and offered us a 230pm start which is 2 hours after our original tee time.
Gave me an email for to get refund or voucher for future round and I have not receive any reply after 4 days.
I have played here several times, although this is first issue I had with them, I have observed they could use better customer service to their patrons.
Falconhead GC
Overall nice course. Greens were in great shape. Price is a little higher then it’s sister courses; Avery Ranch & Teravista, but fairly comparable. Pace of play was good, (4hrs) but it was a Tuesday. I’ve played on the weekends when pace of play can approach 5 hours. Would definitely recommend this course to others. In fact took a couple friends to play it, that were down from Seattle. They loved it.

Great course, excellent scenery
Great course with challenging holes. Fast true greens. My only knock is the range. Much to be desired hitting off the artificial turf tee boxes. For the caliber of this course, range should be improved. Excellent chip and putt areas. Not a cheap place to play but definitely worth the money.
