Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
About Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
Tapatio Springs is a modest-sized resort in the small Hill Country town of Boerne, located north of San Antonio. The 18-hole golf course, formerly 27 holes, underwent an extensive renovation and redesign project at the hands of Tripp Davis in 2015 to create an updated experience for golfers. Off-course amenities at this resort include a brand new clubhouse, home to the La Cascada Table & Bar, a social hub for the resort and local community. Owned by musician George Strait, the property features a singer-songwriter live music series on weekends.Facts

Course condition
I spite of the heat and drought conditions the court was in excellent condition. I believe this contributed to the excellent pace of play. Great value.
Sunday Funday
Course is quickly becoming one of the best options in the SA area. Course is in great shape. Greens are firm and fast, which gives the course the teeth it needs since its relatively short.
Tapatio Springs - Good day
A nice course with great surroundings and scenery. Overall, a playable and fair course (a couple of "gimmick" holes). Hope to go again soon.

Tapatio Resort Golf Course was an excellent experience for Father's Days & 4th of July weekends. I'm from San Antonio Tx. not too far from Boerne Tx. a 30 to 40 minute drive. But, the temperature was about 8 to 10 degrees difference. The course was in excellent condition and very challenging. The weather was great and club house / restaurant provide excellent service and Food & Beverages, not to forget about the scenery & ambience. The website pictures are very true to form and give this magnificent place & resort a true representation of its appearance. I already thinking of going back. I've also mention it to the Golf Association, of which I'm a member of. we will certainly put it on our Golf list for next year. we are about 170 golfers and we can get a great price to play.
Thank you,

A veritable Gem in the Hill Country
Tapatío Springs Golf Course is a treasure of the Texas Hill Country. Located a short drive from San Antonio, this course treats players with Texas hospitality and friendliness. The course is challenging but fair for all levels of ability. The terrain changes and water add an interesting twist to your shot selection. I look forward to having friends visit from out of state to show off this venue of "Texas Golf".
Top-Tier
I've played this course about 10 times & it never gets old. The scenery, the GPS system in the carts, & the course conditions are absoutely exquisite. I try & play this course once a week of possible, this is definitely my favorite course in San Antonio. Hats off to The King of Country himself & all the other contributors.
Great Course
This was my first time playing Tapatio Springs and I must say I will be back very soon. It is about an hour drive for me but I have no problem driving for the price and the condition of the course. The tips will prove to be challenging for first timers and the fairways are in great condition. Greens are in great shape as well and roll true/fast. They have an excellent club house with what smelt like great food. Would make a great staycation for anyone looking for a weekend getaway.
Course was in Great Shape!
Have been playing here for 10 years, the course was in the best shape ever! Staff friendly, ordered breakfast tacos, the waitress from the restaurant brought them to the 1st tee box! Had a couple of
conversations with the Starter, before and after the round, very nice.
Tough, but manageable
Excellent course. Beautiful scenery. Fairways in perfect condition. Greens were fast. Definitely recommend...
Great
Very nice and well kept course. Only problem was greens, they'd been sanded and were slow and hard to predict Maybe in a few weeks they'll be ready.
Tapatio Springs was a nice course. Beautiful hill country views. Amazing homes surround the hillside of the course. Not overly long. Accuracy is a premium here. Grass is cut all over the course so rough wasn't generally an issue. Bunkers were all raked and sanded nicely. Fairways were slightly hard but allowed for rollout of your ball. Greens were some of the hardest I've played. I held a few with extremely high shots though. Putted nicely. Quick, but not overly fast. All of this is typical of newer greens though. GPS system provided nice layouts. Course can get a little crowded with intersecting cart paths so pay attention to the hole you are going to. Enjoyed the back 9 and mix of holes. Overall 3-4 star course. 4-5 star amenities surrounding.
Fast course
Greens are fast ! But are fair roll perfect. Better take time to warm up putting .ok that said i just feel the food and drinks are to high priced for me.woth that said go play .
Great Hill Country golf
Very nice course. Fairways a little hard. Good price for the course. Will definitely play again.
This is my Favorite Course
This is by far my most favorite course to play. It was a little windy but other than that was Perfect!
Beautiful, scenic course
Nicely laid out and well maintained course. Some of the holes were more picturesque than others, but the very pretty holes were a joy. The tee boxes for the most part were very hard and I broke several tees simply trying to get them into the ground! Greens were a bit bumpy and rather fast. And since the pin placement was on the difficult side, a putt that would have been left two or three inches long, suddenly turned into 10-12 foot putts or even ended up off the green entirely. The water features on this course are wonderful, at least today due to all the rain this spring. We love playing a round here even though the pace of play is noticeably slower than we're used to at other San Antonio area courses.
