Very long course, even from the white tees. Par 5's in the 600 yard range (500 yards from the whites).

Very scenic course. Course is only a few years old. Front nine is basically flat, whereas the back nine is hilly bordering on mountainous. Make sure that you have the latest directions as the off-ramp from UT-18 to the Parkway is now in service.

Green fees were exceptional for 18 holes.

Didn't like scorecard not showing the course layout. Our cart had no water to wash off balls or clubs, and there were no places to do so available on the course itself. The refreshment cart came by only once during the 4 1/2 hours of play and was down to only one sandwich at mid afternoon. Computer screen in the cart was difficult to read due to scratches, dirt, fading, etc. Restroom was terrific.

Not good

Who is Matt Dye? He has no conception of the term "user friendly" with elevated greens every hole? What were you thinking. Aside from a nice view and routing on 4 holes on the back nine in which one of the best par 4's has been played as a par 3 for 2 years, really? Conditions, well I was informed that there are only 5 people on the grounds crew if that says anything. Aside from being apologetic most of the staff act like they don't even want to be there which is very sad. My honest opinion is I wouldn't go back and play it for free, sorry.

We play on a regular basis and enjoy the back more than the front..probably due to the nice homes to see. The back 9 has a little more personality and

The course is long and friendly. Looking forward to the new #15

overbooked

Front nine took forever because of all the groups waiting for each other. Back nine was more scenic and more difficult and fortunately not as busy. The views of Snow Canyon are unmatched and anyone who loves the desert and golf should play this course. I just hope the course flows more smoothly, my round took five and a half hours. Lots of goose droppings around and on 18th green. Every staff was very friendly! I first tried to book this round on a hot deal tee time but when I submitted my purchase it wouldnt accept, so when I searched again, the hot deal wasnt available and I spent more than I originally wanted to. I should have waited for another day to play at that reduced rate because right now I feel like I overspent my money to overspend my energy on an overbooked course.

Fun layout, beautiful setting. Course was in bad shape.

The course looked like management may be strapped for cash?? I'll give the course a pass for not being green yet in March, but the fairways were hardpan and the course overall was not in very good shape. Greens were ok, but nothing to write home about. Fun layout and beautiful scenery. I'd give the course another try.

Course conditions not good

Great layout (especially the back 9), beautiful clubhouse, friendly staff. Surprised that the course was not properly maintained. Albeit the end of February, other courses in area have been cutting fairways, grooming traps, etc.

Fabulous layout, lots of challenges, especially on the greens

This course will get better later in the season as they put water on the course. We will definitely play it again in March. Do not miss this course if in St.George area.

Good layout, a lot of bunkers.

Played this course in Mid Feb. 60 plus degrees and the course was fairly busy. Not one single bunker on the course was raked and there were many. Six packs of beer were dumped in grocery bags with ice, no coolers were provided. The group in front of us held up everyone and they were talked to by the Marshall one time. St George/Mesquite is a great golf destination and there are many courses to chose from. This one will fall to the bottom of my list.

Great Price, Friendly staff, poor condition

Very dry, poorly maintained, looks like they don't have water? Fairway grass dormant or barely growing. Maybe they can't water because of possible freezing in the lines overnight? Might be better in a month or so, who knows. No ball washers that I could see on the course. No marshal.

Front 9 open with rolling hills back 9 gullies, washes small greens.

Beautiful course with the back nine more scenic with red rock cliffs and elevation changes. Perfect weather for February and the course was in good shape for winter conditions. Nice facilities and play was managed well with few delays. Plan to return with friends.

so-so front 9 but a really nice back 9

grass on faIrways could be a little more lush; love the gps in the carts; greens have alot more break than what you read. Overall, a fun course to play. Scenery on hole 12 is fabulous!

Ledges fun!

For just having snow a few days earlier, the course was in great condition. The staff is great, our tee off time perfect. Carts are maintained perfectly. The weather was between 38 to 45 degrees so, putting the tee in the ground to a bit of pushing. But, just use a shorter tee. One would suggest to visit it when your in Saint George, well worth the time and money! Glad the world didn't end om the 21st, would missed having all the fun we did with our son from California

Toughiest Greens in the area!

This course was a good value. The pace of play was a bit slow. Sand traps need to have more sand and consistency. Love the clubhouse and the staff was very friendly.

Best value for money anywhere

Ledges is a good course anytime, but now with reduced rates ($50 + cart, $30 afternoon), its one of the best deals around. Course has minor maintenance issues and sand is skimpy in traps, but overall a must play. Back nin along Snow Canyon one of the best 9 holes anywhere.

A tale of two nines..

Played the Ledges on Nov 10, 2012. Course was in great shape, save for the usual 3-5 un-repaired pitch marks on most greens - are these, and unraked traps laziness or something else, ie golfers not knowing its their responsibility? Anyway, one of the benefits of the course being as tough as it is (slope 133 from the whites, 137 from the tips!), is that not that many players actually hit the greens with full shots.
Why "a tale Of two nines"? While there's plenty of variety and challenge on the front nine, it's laid out over fairly level terrain. The back nine features elevation changes on most holes and generally more interesting scenery. It's not a dramatic difference, but it makes the holes noticeably more fun to play.

Nice course well worth the price

Two completely different nine. The first presents flat holes with wide forgiving fairways and incredibly difficult greens. The back nine is more hilly, scenic and possibly a little easier. The condition was excellent and the course was not very crowded. Made for a pleasant day of golf.
