Left after 7 holes !
.Layout was terrible was hard to figure out how to get to the next hole . On hole 7 we hit 1 ball in the left bunker and one in the right bunker but when we got to them there were no balls anywhere we think one of the ground crew took them not knowing that we were coming up we did see him on the fairway in front of the green . Played the Green Course earlier in the week and it was wonderful!.Sprinklers we’re on when we got there and they said they would shut them off after waiting in a dry spot on the first tee for 10 minutes we went back and they said give it a few more minutes.
I loved the course. As a senior women I felt the tees were too long. There should be an option under 5000 yards.
Great
Everyone is super kind and make you feel welcome, great pace of play no one in front or behind us the whole time, really felt like you were out there alone, course is challenging but if you hit the fairways you can have good looks at the green. Awesome course highly recommend.
Surprised
The friendliness of everyone at the course was overwhelming. I’ve played a lot of courses on vacation where they act like you’re an inconvenience for being there. From the clubhouse attendant, starters, grounds staff, they were upbeat and made me excited to play. Great course and experience.
Excellent Compliment to the Gold Course
Good compliment to the gold course. Bunkers need some work. Not as penal as the gold course. Highly recommend the golf package so you can play both courses as much as you want.
Unbelievable Course; Best Par 3s in Mid-Atlantic
Had been eyeing this resort for years and finally pulled the trigger. Course was in pristine condition. The starter, Sam Motley, was super. Turns out he played college baseball with a good friend of mine. Played the ball down as the fairways were immaculate. Par 3s are unbelievable! Definitely want to return and with the golf package an excellent deal. Highly recommend!
Always Feel Welcomed
The Green is one of my favorite courses in the Williamsburg area. Playing "second fiddle" to The Gold (the more famous of the two courses at Golden Horseshoe), I actually like The Green better. It has wide fairways, large greens, and mounding almost on every hole that helps bounce the ball back into the fairway. The course was in good condition except for one thing...the collars on almost every green are dirt. We asked a member of the staff why and he said they cut it too short and it burned out. Unfortunately, this doesn't look burned out...there is no burned out grass, but simply just dirt. They should resod these areas and get the course back in the condition it typically is in. Still a great tract.
Nice course
Very friendly staff and course was in good shape. Played with another golf pass player but 4-some in front of us were incredibly slow and wouldn’t allow us to play through.
