Early Spring
PLAYING GOLF IN EARLY MARCH IN WISCONSIN IS UNUSUAL. COURSE WAS FINE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.
New and improved
The 18 hole layout has been rearranged. Basically, you’re looking at most of the back nine holes as the front nine now, with just a few exceptions on each nine. Greens are in good condition, in spite of it being winter.
A nice simple resort course
Very nice course and value for your buck. Not easy but not too difficult either. Great staff!
4 groups of golfers at the same hole
We paid 120 bucks for this round of golf! When we got there we ended being there for just under 6 hours and only made it to hole 14 because it was dark outside. We went to the club house and asked for money back and they said no because we made to hole 9. We were litterally stuck behind 4 groups of people at every hole because they way overbooked t times. The actual course itself had some nice holes but me and my group noticed it was almost better to drive in the rough grass because the fairways were all rolling hills. Evertime we hit the fairway you had to hit a second shot on a heavy elevation. I really wouldn't recommend for the price this golf course!
Fantastic for the end of December
The course played like mid September. They have kept it up like mid season. A winter treat.
It’s still playing great
The course and the greens are as good as mid season
Last Day Ouo
We played in mid november and the course looked great but about 20 mph wind with gusts over 30mph. But we found a hot deal for $20 which is about a third of normal price so it was well worth it. Easy check in and friendly bar service made it a pleasure. Well worth a try . Greens are very challenging. Our foursome played in a little over 3 1/2 hrs.
First timer
It was my first time playing at Majestic Oaks at Lake lawn. The promptness of carts and readiness of the staff was above par. Course layout was a little confusing, but with them having signs up directing you to the next hole was helpful. Scenic views of the lake were exceptional during the fall color change. The greens were fast and the fairways were well maintained. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy this course during the spring and summer seasons.
Golfing on my Birthday
Had a great round of golf on my birthday. The course was in excellent shape for the end of the season. The greens and fairways were free of leaves and the staff in the clubhouse and the bar/food area were efficient and friendly.
Great place to enjoy your favorite game!
As always, the staff was extremely friendly and professional. A big shout out to Bob & Joe. The course was in great condition for this time of the year and the pace of play was fine. I have always enjoyed the course and would definitely encourage those who have not played there to give it a shot. I am certain you will not be disappointed.
Busy for a Fall day
Just surprised how golfers were on the course this late in Fall. Played slower than normal
Staff always friendly. Course in great shape for late October. Greens were great.
Never enough
We come to lake
Lawn every few months as a getaway
My wife enjoys the water and great rooms and i love this course
Hate to see winter coming as i will need to wait for spring for golf
Always a fair challenge
More Tee Boxes Needed
The layout was recently reconfigured to now play the outer 9 then finish on the inner 9, much like a Scottish links course. The change causes a bit of confusion as a few cart paths go from asphalt to gravel, routing you through the new configuration. In fact, one tee box is used for 2 different fairways.
Speaking of tee boxes, there are only 3, which is why I rated the course as Extremely Challenging. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT - five tee boxes would make rounds more enjoyable for those of the shorter drive persuasion by giving them the chance at reaching a 400+ par 4 or 500+ par 5 in regulation.
Currently the course plays a little slow - slow fairways and slow greens.
While I do recommend this course to others it is with the caveat that you'll need to stripe them long to achieve anywhere near par.
