About
Lake Lawn Resort spans across two miles of shoreline along Delavan Lake. The resort was founded in 1878, making it one of Wisconsin's oldest leisure destinations. Its proximity to both Chicago and Milwaukee has made it very popular. The championship golf course was not added until 1921, but it is still one of the area's oldest. It has a traditional layout that was revamped in 1990 but the original character was carefully preserved. The course is known for the stately oaks that are abundant throughout the course. The mature trees frame the holes and demand accuracy as well as creative shot-making. There are also deep sand bunkers strategically placed along Lake Lawn Resort's greensides. The greens themselves are quite tricky and varied too. Some have subtle but tough undulations while others are multi-tiered.

Great Staff. Slow Play
The course is fine, but the management of teetimes is a bit unusual. I played as a single and was paired up with a seven some. I hit first in the first foursome with the three other players hitting 200 yard drives straight right. By the time I got to the 1st Green, the starter had broken up the group due to slow play. He then sent me out with another single on the second hole. Things did not speed up from there as it appeared the mix of the average golf course plus below two average golfers made for a long day. If you’re out for a casual day with beautiful lake views and a great staff, this is still a nice course. But if you were looking for serious scores and a quickened play, you might want to continue your search.

Great place to play golf
Lake Lawn or Majestic Oaks is in the best condition I have ever seen it. The golf course may not be here next year. Owners of the resort are more interested in selling off the lots that run along the lake. A wonderful golf course will be sliced up because of greed. Before the changes go out and play. Best condition of any course in the area. Greens are fast and true.
If you looking for a place to play check out LLR. Before they chop it up.
This course gets overlooked but it shouldn’t. Very fun place to play, and it was it amazing shape. Greens were lightning fast.
Hole to hole markings confusing
We played this course in October. Very windy conditions. Going from hole to hole, there were no directions and the marking were confusing. Beautiful scenery from the course. Challenging holes, blind corners, undulating greens, very fast.
Sad to see it go
Great place to play golf. Sorry to see the development going in. Last ever round there. Greens were immaculate. Everything was in great condition. Just a bummer corporate decided to sell land for development
Great course with very tough greens
Very challenging greens, with beautiful views of Delavan Lake. Great value for the area.

I was looking forward to golfing this course. Course was in great shape. Very nice views, which was good because I had a lot of time to look around. I can play at many other courses in about 2-3 hours. This course was so overbooked that it took a little over "5"hourse to play.
Too bad course is going to be developed into homes

Sand abundant, greens smooth and true, running medium. Course routing a little tight in relation to other
Holes. Not a long Course but small undulating greens
Make it a challenge. A bargain compared to other courses in the area. Play it before it's gone ! !
Nice course but oversold
Course was very nice, staff were all very nice. But it was over sold, I was told they were running pretty much on time. But there were three groups waiting to tee on on hole one. My tee time was 2:00 and I got the last hole in just after they called for all cart to come in. So it took right at 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. I play many courses that I can play 18 in less than 2 1/2 hours.
