Lake Lawn Resort

For a golf "destination area" this course is below average. From the unclear clubhouse location to the unmarked cart path, this course leaves you to blaze your own trail so to speak. There are plenty of better courses to play in the area. Don't be fooled by the "prestige" of the Golf Resort.

The course overall is in excellent shape. It is a resort style course. The rough is cut very short, and the drive spots are typically pretty open that it is possible to get a good look at the green most of the time.

The only thing about the course that made it go from easy to moderate on the difficulty was the green's are VERY difficult. Not unfair, they were receptive to approach shots, but if you put the ball on the wrong side of the hole a 3 putt was very possible (I had more than I care to admit on my round)

Only problem no military discount. Very challenging and great wildlife on course to see.

Got a great price on Golfnow.com via a Hot Deal and paid only $19 for 18 holes including the cart. Played this course last year and it was in horrible shape, so my expectations were not very high. I was pleasantly surprised to see this course back in the excellent condition when I played it this year. We were a twosome that started st 7 am on a Saturday morning and finished 18 holes in less than 3 hours. The layout is great and consists of both long and short par fours. The par threes are long with 3 of them being at or over 200 yards from the back tees. One par fives can play 638 yards should you play when the tees are all the way back. Great views of the lake. The trees are huge, beautiful, and play into the strategy of the layout as many of them can block your shots to the green. The greens were true and pure with moderate undulations.

I enjoyed the course very much. Especially for $19.

The course was in ideal condition. Beautiful course along Lake Delavan. Pristine condition, courteous staff, a real gem.

I have played the course occasionally over the past 6 years. A dramatic improvement has taken place over the past 3 years. The course this week is in the best shape I've ever seen. $45 is very reasonable for the quality out there.

Lots of challenging shots to multi-level greens make this a very interesting layout. You will use all the clubs in your bag. There are no easy par threes.

Great price for course. Only paid $15 per person for 18 with cart.

We showed up a little late and the course was very busy. Staff made every effort to make sure it was a great day to play.

First time playing here. Got a hotdeal. .. $20/18 with cart. Course in great shape. Tight fairways. Short course ...but T - shot demands accuracy if want to shoot well. Played as 3 sone in 3.5 hrs....so good pace. Small tricky greens. Greens bit beaten up. Hopefully that will change as season progresses. Hard to read speed and break. Will be back...definitely!!!

We stayed at the hotel, so we played the course. There are better courses in the area, but the convenience and value were worth it.

May 6th was a sunny but very windy day. The wind coming off of the lake was quite strong on holes 12 and 13. Had it not been for the wind the conditions would have ben quite good. A lot of courses in the Midwest appear to be two weeks or so behind normal due to the winter we had. The staff was very courteous. The course management has reversed play of the front nine and the back nine so my GPS was out of sync. They have not marked directions to each hole since the change so it was a bit of driving around to fine the correct hole to play until I got to a hole sequence that I knew.

Some great views! Greens were rolling well for this time of year.

I played early in the season on the Monday after Easter. The weather was threatening rain. In fact it did rain (sprinkle) for most of the round. There were very few people playing and we played fairly well so we were able to move right along. Hence the short time for the round.

It was fall weather when I played Lake Lawn and I can honestly say I was content with the course`s maintenance. I`d like to play it again.

Completely enjoyed my experience @ Lake Lawn Resort , staff, course & facility were all top shelf ! I play a lot of area courses ,
this is one I will play again. There are a lot of good courses in the area . this is one of the better ones ; although I would avoid
Fox Lake CC , because of managements poor treatment of anyone that isn't a member.

The course was in great shape for this time of year. The staff was friendly and for $15 for 18 with a cart - it was a great deal! I would look to play here again when visiting the Lake Geneva area.

Haven't played the course in several years. We had a noon T-time and when we arrived at 11:15 it was pouring down rain. When it stopped we questioned how the course would play. However, the course soaked up the rain and there wasn't even water in the sand traps. Greens and fairway were in great shape. The leaves were turning colors and with the lake, it was a beautiful day.

A good round. Not super busy so was able to get around in about 3 1/2 hours.
