Maxwelton Braes Lodge

About Maxwelton Braes Lodge
The Maxwelton Braes Lodge and Banquet Facility is set in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin, near Lake Michigan. The historic lodge was built in the 1930s situated in the middle of its 18-hole course. The property includes two lighted tennis courts, four pickleball courts, the Thyme Cuisine restaurant and indoor and outdoor banquet offerings. The main lodge sports just 11 rooms, including 1- and 2-bedroom suites named after Augusta National, Pinehurst, St. Andrews and Pebble Beach. The eight Rustic Fairway Rooms are located along the 16th fairway. A mix of long and short par 4s and par 5s create character on the 6,041-yard par-70 course. The clubhouse serves golf fare with snacks, beer, bratwurst and hotdogs inside and outdoors on the patio.Facts

Good Course
I had a nice round despite the cold, about 50 degrees.
Throwback Course
This course reminds me of old courses I have played many years ago in Upper Michigan, plenty of character!!!
Thanks Maxwellton Braes, I'll be back again with friends!!!
Great day
Golf Now made a great day for me and the two others that I was attached to.
Very cordial staff
Person running the clubhouse was very friendly and courteous.
Best deal
Old course on uneven ground, but a good long course with God greens. Great value for your buck.
great value/course
Phil in pro shop did an outstanding job! very professional, very friendly.
Nice little course
Had just finished up a round at another course nearby when I got an email about a "Hot Deal" near me so I booked the tee time and drove over instead of heading home. Nice little course, friendly guy behind the counter and cold beer for only $2.50 a can - score!! Fairways were nice and the greens were in great condition. I had never heard of the course, will definately play again next time we head up to Door County.
Step Back in Time
Course hasn't changed much since 1929 so if you want to know what courses were like back then try MB. They did have a very good beer: Polka King, a local stout. Many nicer courses in Door County, but this is a great value.
Beautiful greens
Nice course for a quick round. The greens were in immaculate condition. The fairways are not irrigated but they played well.
