The Wilderness is the premier golf and waterpark destination in the Wisconsin Dells. The Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort features 444 guest rooms, 40 vacation villas, 76 condos and 35 cabins. Nearby, the Wilderness on the Lake includes 108 luxury two- and three-bedrooms overlooking Lake Delton, and Glacier Canyon Lodge features 460 upscale condo units. Restaurants range from the Thirsty Buffalo Saloon and Survivor’s Bar & Grill to various grab and go options at the indoor and outdoor waterparks. What a course!
Great experience at Wild Rock! Even for early season the course was in great shape. So much fun. Definitely will be back
Top 5 in Wisconsin!
The location is fantastic. It is one of the most scenic courses in Wisconsin. It’s the absolute best value in Wisconsin. Staff is terrific, although the patrons could use an upgrade. A lot of hacks show up and disrespect the course. We watched three young guys absolutely trash a golf cart and leave. I hope they had to pay for that cart.
Last round of 2022
Our normal foursome played what looks like the last time for 2022 and it was a spectacular round. Weather was perfect, course was in great shape and we had a great time.
Amazing Course
Excellent course. Great conditions with everything, from tee boxes to fairways to greens. Hilly with a wonderful layout. Will definitely play here again.
Golf here if in the Dells area!
Pricey but worth it before the leaves start falling.
Awesome Layout
Wild Rock is a blast, and it is gorgeous. Big wide fairways, lots of elevated teeboxes to see the hole laid out in front of you, undulating greens, hills, wildlife aplenty, great wooded scenery with views of the countryside from the high spots, and usually can only see one hole at a time from where you are standing. Unique holes that make you remember them for next time. Risk and reward opportunities. A friendly laid-back staff. And affordable. It is a big sprawling property that generally is forgiving off the tee. This is my favorite golf experience in WI, all things considered. So much fun to play.
Great fall day.
Able to play on a beautiful 70 degree October day. Course was full of golfers. Course was in very good condition for this time of year. There had been some aeration and slitting but could deal with that. This is a very challenging golf course. The greens have lots of mounds, pockets, slopes and were very fast. If you don't know the greens it is hard to know where to hit your approach shots. Super fun day of golf! Saw at least 20 deer grazing on acorns and grass along the course. Can't wait to play here again.
Excellent
Some of the green areas were a little rough and the fringe was just plugged that morning but it's fall so we were already expecting this going in. Honestly the only bad part we had was the group in front of us that was on the 3rd hole green when we were on the 1st green and we caught them at the 5th tee box...
Fairways were in good shape as well.
Executive course was a blast little course afterwards for the $10 as well
