The Wilderness is the premier golf and waterpark destination in the Wisconsin Dells. The Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort features 444 guest rooms, 40 vacation villas, 76 condos and 35 cabins. Nearby, the Wilderness on the Lake includes 108 luxury two- and three-bedrooms overlooking Lake Delton, and Glacier Canyon Lodge features 460 upscale condo units. Restaurants range from the Thirsty Buffalo Saloon and Survivor’s Bar & Grill to various grab and go options at the indoor and outdoor waterparks. Very cool course!
Played this course for the first time and it was awesome. Very cool course, very scenic. Saw tons of wildlife. The holes were interesting and challenging. The only complaint was the greens weren’t real fast and some had been aerated recently so it affected your putts. Other than that would definitely go and play again. The rest of the course was in beautiful condition.
Poor greens
Normally the greens on Wild Rick are beautiful but the there were bad spots all about and it seemed the pin-cutter decided to place the holes right in the middle of bad areas. I was disappointed. Maybe lots of rain? Other area courses were in better shape. They also had top-dressed (some?) of the greens but I was surprised that the holes remained, not filled by the top dressing. Just a disappointment from a superior course.
Really!?
Maybe in honor of The (British) Open, every pin but one was tucked near the edge of the green and a few paces from water or other disaster. Hard to have a good time when the pins aren’t even remotely accessible. I won’t be back.
Pace of play
Should not take 5 hours to play. Group in front of us would not tee off until the group in front of them were on the gree. Even on the par fives. There was no ranger.
Course was in amazing condition.
The greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in excellent shape. The only issue I had was that several greens were recently aerated and a little bumpy. Also, several tee boxes were undergoing maintenance repairs. Still, the course was in great shape and I am looking forward to returning.
Best course in the Dells
Great day on a great course. Pace was exactly 4.5 hours - which is expected because 3 additional holes were cart path only.
Awesome golf course
Played during a trip to Wisconsin Dells, absolutely great track.
Golf Carts
Horrible. Middle of the first fairway, cart died. Brought out a different cart. Got to the 13th green, cart started to die. Got a different cart on the 14th hole. Pathetic.

Thanks to the grounds crew for keeping the course in great shape with all of the rain the Dells sea received this past week!
Great course
Pace was slow because of cart path only. Beat course in the Dells. I will be back again this year!
