Great Day!
This is a course where you need to play from the proper tees. We had quite a bit of wind and when you are hitting into it with long carries watch out. Really enjoyed it though! Great shape and great staff.
The Rock
Love the course! We always see deer and turkeys. We saw a mother deer and 2 small fawns this time. The course was in great shape. Almost had a hole in one on hole 15. This course would cost $200.00 if it was close to Chicago.....great value for the cost.
Awesome
This course was awesome I loved it been wanting to play it forever the only problem I had their was a foursome in front of us and they would not let us play over
Wish I lived closer than 2 hrs away
Best course in state and northern Illinois including the Deere course in Silva,Il.
Back nine a mountain course in Wisconsin, who'd a thunk it!
Second time here, looking forward to next visit already.
very special course
Wild Rock is a wonderful golf course, beautiful and challenging. It's crucial to play the right tee boxes. Even from whites, there are several forced carries that may be difficult. Greens are fair, and fun, with undulations that sometimes run counter to prevailing topography. Views from the highest elevations allow you to see far into the Wisconsin heartland. But two caveats: A can of beer will cost you $6, and if you accept the par 3 challenge (bet x amount and if on the green double that in pro shop credit) you will not be able to buy balls or markers...shirts, caps etc only. They don't tell you that on the course.
One of Wi best!
If your in the area, this is one place you must golf!
Stunning - a true jewel hidden in the Dells
Follow the signs once you get close - the GPS won't get you all the way to the clubhouse. Once there, you will pleased. Had lunch - shrimp tacos just ok and the wings were good!!! Driving range comes with the green fees. Didn't use the practice green but looked big enough for quite a few people. There are a number of different tee boxes - I am a 9 handicap and the whites were challenging. We were lucky enough to have Sunday pin placements. The course was in A+ shape. Every hole was unique. Cart girl was regular and cordial. This is a must if golfing in the Dells.
First Time - Great Day
I've played the Woods - Exec 9, a number of times. This was my first opportunity to play the 18 hole course and I was very impressed. We hit a perfect, preseason day with very few golfers on the course. The course was in great shape and the fairways had interesting challenges and configurations, without the pitfalls of obstacles that were hidden from you. The carts included extremely nice GPS screens that helped planning shots. It was a great day on the links!
awsome
Enjoyed everything great time had by all.
Wide expanse
When I get to play this course at this time of year, I feel like I own this place! The summer tourists have gone and they start catering to the locals by throwing us a bone on GolfNow, to which I gladly take a bite of! This course has wide fairways, but can be bit long on a few holes (#10 is a killer!). They do a great job of cleaning the leaves and the greens are very good for the time of year. Make sure when you get on the greens to turn back to admire the view. Walking is not an option here. No bev cart at this time, but they forewarn you prior to leaving the clubhouse. Best course in the Dells area!
Wild Rock.....rocks!
This golf course is about as challenging as any course i've played. the first time we played it the weather was overcast and raining and i couldn't wait to come back when the conditions were more favorable. the layout is beautiful, the greens are great, tough but fair. you WILL lose some golf balls unless you are a seasoned player. Wildlife everywhere, we saw turkeys, deer, squirrels, etc. the views are breathtaking, many of the holes from the tee box are intimidating, especially #2 when you have to hit across a 165yd canyon to get it to the fairway. i love this course.
One of my Favorites
A must play, very scenic, tough! Wish it was my home course!
Bucket List Course
One of about 25 Wisconsin Courses on my bucket list. Have completed about 15. This course was my favorite. Very scenic....
hot
course was nice, some golfers playing were very lax in fixing divots and ballmarks.
Nice Course, Poor Staff Etiuquette
Only got to see the front 9 due to rain but what we saw was very nice even with rain. The child working the desk at the Pro Shop was extremely rude and when asking about a walking rate since it was path only, and to ask the pro (who couldn't be bothered to step out of his office) if there was any such rate, he quipped that it would actually be higher. It was as if he was trying to convince us not to play. A perfect example of the courteous staff. I have played courses all over the country and Wild Rock, while nice, is not a, professional, TPC, or even a 5-star course. You're a course in the Dells, not Bandon Dunes. Tone it down and remember you are in customer service. Expect a nice course and poor customer service.

Great layout
Hurdson and Frye have done several courses Ive played in Ohio. Their site lines, bunkering, use of the topography, all add to the visual pleasure of playing their courses. The course was in great shape and the greens wire quick but also reseptive. My wife road along and said it was the most beautiful place she's ever been to.
Fantastic
Fantastic, scenic, championship course. Course in great condition. Worth $100 all day long. Ranks as one of the top public courses I have played. Elevation changes, strategic bunkering, several different tee boxes to choose from. If you enjoy a great, challlenging layout, you will not be disappointed. Will require good shotmaking.
Rockin' great time at Wild Rock
This is the first time I ever played Wild Rock in the Dells. I don't think I've played a better course then Wild Rock! The views were breathtaking, the course was immaculate, and experience was awesome. My buddy and I did a play and stay, and for $159, we got a hotel stay, carts, 18 holes, range usage and lunch. How can you beat that?! This would be a course I would love to play every day. We already have a set up for next year a group of four of us heading to that course again! A MUST PLAY IN WISCONSIN!!!!!!!!
Nice elevation changes
A must play when in the Dells. A pro at a competing club recommended the course stating it's the best course hands down...I agree.
Beautiful views and dramatic elevation changes. Greens held the ball very well. Greens were semi-fast and putted very true. Unfortunately we played on a very windy day 20-25 mph, wind actually effected puts it was so windy.
