Love this course!
We love this beautiful course and look forward to playing it every year. Variety of tee boxes allows a golfer to choose his/her level of difficulty.
Due to all of the rain we have received recently, the course was cart path only. And needed to be because of very wet conditions. So the pace of play was slow and golfers were not filling their divots. It appeared taking the sand bottles along with several clubs to the ball was just too much to ask on a warm day.
Cart path only
5 hrs plus. No reason for cart path only. Course had no standing water. At worst could have been 90 degree rule. If they tell you cart path only get your money back or you’ll be walking for 5 hrs. More walking than if you didn’t have a cart. Terrible terrible terrible.
Best Course in the Dells
Extremely fun layout and very challenging from the back tees. Course was in perfect shape, greens were smooth and fast, and the on course drink carts and turn shack were always around to keep us stocked up. Would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to play near the dells. Best deal in town.
Great golf experience
Played wild rock on a beautiful day. Fortunate to be paired with two easy to get along with golfers. Saw lots of deer. Lost a few in the tall grass, but enjoyed the day..one of my favorite courses.
Good value
The course is well conditioned, challenging with some memorable holes. Generous wide fairways and greens to make your toes curl. Only issue was pace of play. 5 hrs on a week day.
Great course
Conditions were top notch despite massive amounts of rain overnight.
Golf
Was in great shape. But rained and was cart path only. No course to walk
KO Review
Besides the rainy conditions and some pin placements, we so enjoyed the course and all the staff members, especially the cart women who braved the weather to serve our needs.. The staff who met us at the bag drop to the staff who cleaned our clubs after the round were exceptional! Love to come back very soon!!
Nice Course, Treacherous Greens
Wide fairways with well placed bunkers. Make sure your putting is spot on as the greens are fast and tons of undulations.
Highly Recommend!
Weather
Was awesome but. Was cartpath only and hot. But highly recommend
The clowns behind us were throwing rocks at the deer.
Maybe some signs should be in order.
Thanks
We’ll be back
Nice course for every skill level
The course is in great shape and I will be back the next time I visit Wisconsin Dells.
Value not there
The course is beautiful. It looks like what a Wisconsin golf course should look like. Deer roaming everywhere and lush trees around most fairways and greens. On the flip side I was underwhelmed with the value. I took my high school son and there were no Junior rates. They may think they stay busy enough without having to offer lower rates but even Whistling Straits and Erin Hills cater to the juniors. After check in there were no range balls left. Thankfully some other players shared some of theirs knowing they had taken the last, but the designated space on the range was so chewed up there was no grass to hit from. The course was generally in very good shape but the grounds crew forgot to cut one of the greens. They were too busy trying to figure out the worst places to set cups that day. There was one set on a hillside so steep I looked around for a clowns mouth. Impossible two putt from above the hole. Was also fortunate to get a cart without a working parking break. Not a big deal on a flat course but Wild Rock is not a flat course. To sum it up it’s a beautiful course but just not worth the $250 I paid for the two of us. There are too many nice golf courses in the state to come back here.
