Crete Golf Club offers a desert-style course that features picturesque views of both the rugged mountains of Crete and the Aegean Sea. The layout features expansive fairways and generous landing areas that are very forgiving, but the golf course still offers quite a challenge. Natural olive and carob trees add to the course's beauty, but they are not friendly to errant shots. Deep ravines, strong ocean breezes, and strategically placed bunkers add to the course's difficulty. One of the most notable holes at Crete Golf Club is the par-3 sixth, which requires a tee shot past a ravine in order to reach a double-tiered green that is carved into a hillside.
