Aloha, now feed me! Photo submitted by golfsilverock on 01/17/2013
Pace of play was very good. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent shape. Great views and a lot of elevation changes. Definitely bring a camera.
Great Course!
Great layout! Will play again when I come back, for sure
Hapuna in August
Beautiful course with lots of ocean views. Rolling terrain keeps it interesting. Plenty of challenge, not for beginners. Good value compared to other courses near ocean.
Best course on the island, get the Hot Deal for low price.
Best course on the island, get the Hot Deal for low price.
8.7 handicap playing from the championship tees. Shot a 92.
Greens are quick. Rough is thick. Empty in the Summer.
Nice course
Nice course with very friendly and helpful staff. Cost us more to rent clubs than the greens fee, but we had the course to ourselves. The only other cart we saw the whole round was the snack/beverage girl!
Wonderful course, best greens we’ve played so far on the island. All greens are elevated and fun/ challenging course. Would play here again in a heart beat. Wild goats all over the course , pace of play was fantastic. No restaurant here but drove 5 mins to the Westin for a nice lunch. Highly recommend this course.
Interesting Layout but SLOW
Typical Palmer layout - tough driving areas with long par 4/5s and shorter par 3s. Elevation changes give great vista views to the ocean. Choose the shorter tees the first time you play here and bring a full arsenal of golf balls (long grasses frame fairways).
Pace of play was brutal with some locals deciding to spend the entire late morning and afternoon leisurely strolling the course. No ranger. Cart got a flat after nine but a replacement was promptly brought out. If a 5+ hour round is ok with you, than no issue.
Look for <$100 round during the off-season if available.
Great course , poor pace of play
played there on 8/16 with my nephew - Course was in great shape, nice and fast greens, great weather .
Only issue was the pace of play ... for the last 15 holes, we had 3 to 4 groups on each hole and a waiting time of at least 10 minutes . no marshal at all, nobody keeping track of time . Was hard to keep focusing and the poor pace of play offset all the rest .
Unlikely to come back
The rolling ball
When the wind blows a stationary ball off the green yikes.
When the wind blows a stationary ball down the fairway why is this course open.
Spectacular!
Beautiful ocean views, impeccably maintained course, and great greens. Everything you could ask for.
Amazing course
This course in including beautiful scenic views.
Fareway and green is very good status.
great service, great views, tough course
staff is fantastic. greens are in great condition and the ocean views are spectacular. . finishing hole is fun. if you don’t hit the ball perfectly straight this course is a very tough one as there is basically no rough. you’re either in the fairway or in the lava. That said, the views make the lost balls hurt less.
