Aruba golf Terradel sole
I had the pleasure of playing Terra del Sol yesterday the course it’s totally been redone. It was something that was very well needed and really enjoyed playing the course you could tell. They’re still working out the bumps. It’s kind of quiet there. I believe it’s due to the price. I have played many times before in previous years and the cost now they’re asking a premium. I’m happy to see that they’re taking the time to bring it back to a beautiful track.
Very nice!
Considering this is on, pretty much, a desert island. The course is in beautiful condition. It probably takes a lot of water to maintain how it is. The greens were very good, but unpredictable for us because, apparently we are not very good putters. The course is extremely windy at times as it was when we played it, but that's just something you have to figure out. Overall, we paid $125 or so and about $50 to rent clubs, a piece which, if you were on a nice course on a Caribbean island that's actually pretty inexpensive. Of course, that's pretty much an afternoon rate and it was a "hot deal".On Turks and Caicos we pay about $275 for the same thing. Nevertheless, the course on Turks is even nicer than this one.
At any rate, I would highly recommend this course unless you want to go to souvenir stores and look around at tourist places around Aruba. There are nice beaches as well, but my brother-in-law and I preferred to play golf!
Feel the Breeze
Wind never stops blowing so hit it straight or the ball may turn back and return home. Beautiful experience and views.
Views
If nothing else you should play this course for the views. There are many spectacular holes that a picture won’t do justice to. Be aware this is Aruba and very windy. A hard core golfer will still love the challenge. A so-so golfer could end up frustrated. It is a challenge but when you hit a great shot playing the wind it is rewarding.
Golf now hot deals a couple of days before you can play a round for about 140.
A round not to be forgotten
An extremely challenging course with remarkable views on the north end of Aruba. Be prepared for a remarkably windy day. Regardless, it was fun to play.
Amazing location, fun and challenging course
My husband and I really enjoyed this course. Playing conditions are decent - good tee boxes and fairways - but what makes the course is the views. Front nine you have views of the ocean on almost every hole, and while back 9 isn't as pretty it feels like AZ with desert and cacti. We also saw some wild goats roaming around the course.
The wind was definitely a challenge, with plenty of altered shots including some putts. The bunkers were not great, hard pack sand with deep lips. There were a lot of hazards on the course you needed to play around, which added to the challenge.
Service was great, and there is a nice chipping and putting green. The driving range is hitting off matts so not my favorite.
Overall though it was a wonderful round and we would happily play it again
Nice but expensive
Nice course but far too expensive. $ 268 pp.
I always book through TeeOff, otherwise I wouldn't have paid.
Most recent reviews are accurate
Yes, it’s very windy; that’s Aruba. Yes, there are resort courses in better condition. Yes, the driving range is bad. We still had fun. We didn’t take the round too seriously, and we enjoyed the views. And the course is actually in pretty good shape, especially the back nine that apparently has been worked on recently. We also had a couple of good drinks at the bar overlooking the course after the round. We’re going back tomorrow (NYE) and looking forward to it.
Great Desert Course on the Ocean!!!
Course is bouncing back in very good shape after the renovations. Pricing is way to expensive.
Well maintained course tough winds
Course is great shape. Well maintained. Great amenities. Green slightly on slower side. Wind is the biggest challenge playing here. Any side spin the ball is gone. If it is straight expect a 20-30 yard deviation on few holes.
Well done
First time playing back nine since renovations. Well done!!
Last time i played a full 18, the course was brown and greens were rough. Iberostar did a wonderful job restoring course and is a joy to play. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Wind always makes this a challenging course. Wide fairways and no real rough, mostly natural sand scrub.
Somewhat expensive to play but overall very enjoyable time.
Vacation
Played here 2 years ago and it was in horrible shape, but enjoyed the lay out. Played yesterday and much, much better shape, big improvement. Great views on front nine, back was mostly desert. Extremely pricey, but we were on vacation, so oh well.
Fun & Challenging
Having played in Scotland and Arizona this course is definitely a mix of both. It was extra windy the day I played due to the Hurricane west of Aruba. Course staff was great and it was off season (October) there was just a few others out. Planning to come back soon!
Tierra Del Sol
Just played this course three times in September 2025. All 18 holes are now open for play after a recent buy out and refurbishment from Iberostar.
The pluses; Fun and challenging layout. Some dog legs left and right off the tee as well as considerable uphill and downhill shots into the greens. Generous fairways off the tee and plenty of tees for all handicaps. Spectacular ocean views from many of the holes, much improved course conditions overall since the recent upgrades. Friendly staff and no issues for me with pace of play, course was wide open.
Negatives; Between $100- $140 seems about right for a round given the current course conditions and amenities, it’s not a $200 dollar plus course given its current state. The trade winds can be very strong and make the course play very difficult for the less skilled golfer. Factor in the heat and humidity and it can add to the difficulty especially in midday play. The greens are a coarse wiry Bermuda and can play slow and tricky. Difficult to read and adjust for pace. The practice range sits atop a hill and is very exposed to the wind and has very poor practice balls for a course charging $100 plus. Cart service on the course was minimal given how few people were playing on the days I played.
Overall a fun challenging experience with a good layout and nice views. Expect a lot of wind, hydrate and us plenty of suncream!
Great views. Very challenging with all that wind. Great challenge
Sun, wind and sand
Just finished 18 holes at Tierra Del Sol in Aruba.
Challenging course made more so by the relentless winds.
I found the course condition to be pretty good. Greens held and putted true. No bare spots. They were a bit slow but given the wind I think if they were any faster the golf ball would wander about.
Fairways were healthy and tees were acceptable with thin grass and no bare areas.
Staff were all over the top friendly and helpful.
Rental clubs were a solid set of Titleists.
I’m a single digit handicap and found the course to be fun and very playable.
