Haven in one Happy Island
This golf course is a total gem. The layout is the most unique I have ever played. The fairways and greens were excellent. The Goats came out on holes number 3 to 6. The 17 miles per hour winds made the adventure memorable. The final hole is a challenging uphill par 4, with the wind at your back and the setting sun on your face. Bravo
Trent Jones, in the tradition of Royal Westmorland in Barbados this is a must play Gem in the Caribbean.
Caribbean gem!!
This by far is one of my favorite golf course is in a Caribbean. Played five different islands courses. Monday and Friday is the fantastic because there’s no traffic at all. Fast for a slow as you like. They do a great job to maintain a course that is constantly getting wind blowed. By the trade winds.
Value
The course is in great shape and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly.. The only thing I wish it had was a monthly rate for people who spend the winter in Aruba.
Nice
Very nice layout and course. The wind makes this an extremely challenging course. Views are gorgeous. Not worth the money honestly. It was $365 with golf club rental. That kind of money course should be pristine. I wouldn’t play if I were a resident. I only played because I’m vacationing there. I would recommend playing it once.
Great views and challenging course
The course has been upgraded over the last two years and is finally in beautiful condition!
Great views and challenging holes.
Only wish they would offer local homeowners discounts so the course would be busier and would play more often
Enjoyable if you like wind
It is my understanding course is under new ownership, money invested in the course. The course was fantastic, green where in needed to be, fast. For an RTJ course I only lost 1 ball, very happy with that. Staff was fantastic, very accommodating, beverage cart made its round 4 times during play. Stay hydrated. Water was all over on the course but with the winds you forget to drink water. Will definitely made another trip back.
Major improvements under new ownership
I have played Tierra del Sol for over 20 years. Unfortunately, starting about 5-7 years ago, the course started to deteriorate and got to the point where grass was growing in the bunkers and the greens were pretty much unplayable. Fortunately, the course was sold and the new owners have brought it back to what it once was. While it is still an island course with some blemishes, I look forward to playing this like I did 10 years ago. The staff has always been excellent. The ladies in the pro shop are very sweet. The entire crew deserves to work at a course golfers want to play at. I am happy to say Tierra del
Sol is that once again!
Condition
The course is in beautiful shape especially compared to 2 years ago when I played it. I just wish they had a 3 month membership or a snowbird daily rate. The course is very challenging but fun. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Laughable Scorecard
Played this course years ago and loved it. But now at my age, I’m hitting the ball 30 yards shorter. You have three sets of tees for the men, but only one for women. So at 75, I am hitting from the same tees as a forty year old. NOT FAIR
Aruba golf Terradel sole
I had the pleasure of playing Terra del Sol yesterday the course it’s totally been redone. It was something that was very well needed and really enjoyed playing the course you could tell. They’re still working out the bumps. It’s kind of quiet there. I believe it’s due to the price. I have played many times before in previous years and the cost now they’re asking a premium. I’m happy to see that they’re taking the time to bring it back to a beautiful track.
Very nice!
Considering this is on, pretty much, a desert island. The course is in beautiful condition. It probably takes a lot of water to maintain how it is. The greens were very good, but unpredictable for us because, apparently we are not very good putters. The course is extremely windy at times as it was when we played it, but that's just something you have to figure out. Overall, we paid $125 or so and about $50 to rent clubs, a piece which, if you were on a nice course on a Caribbean island that's actually pretty inexpensive. Of course, that's pretty much an afternoon rate and it was a "hot deal".On Turks and Caicos we pay about $275 for the same thing. Nevertheless, the course on Turks is even nicer than this one.
At any rate, I would highly recommend this course unless you want to go to souvenir stores and look around at tourist places around Aruba. There are nice beaches as well, but my brother-in-law and I preferred to play golf!
Feel the Breeze
Wind never stops blowing so hit it straight or the ball may turn back and return home. Beautiful experience and views.
Views
If nothing else you should play this course for the views. There are many spectacular holes that a picture won’t do justice to. Be aware this is Aruba and very windy. A hard core golfer will still love the challenge. A so-so golfer could end up frustrated. It is a challenge but when you hit a great shot playing the wind it is rewarding.
Golf now hot deals a couple of days before you can play a round for about 140.
