Extremely Disappointed – Loyal Customer Treated with Disrespect.
I am absolutely appalled by the treatment I received at Bronkhorstspruit Golf Club today. After being a loyal customer for over three years, I drove 50km with the full intention of supporting a place I’ve come to know and enjoy—only to be turned away over something as simple as a payment method.
Without any prior notice or communication, the club suddenly stopped accepting cash. I phoned ahead and was not informed of this important change. Had I known, I would have made other arrangements. Instead, I arrived in good faith, and when I explained the situation, I was met with zero understanding or willingness to assist.
The manager’s attitude was cold and dismissive—a flat “no” and no effort to find a solution. No apology. No empathy. No customer service. This is how you treat someone who has supported your club for years?
The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy is staggering. Changing your payment policy is one thing, but failing to inform your patrons and then treating them like a nuisance is unacceptable.
To anyone considering Bronkhorstspruit Golf Club: think twice. If this is how they treat their long-time customers, imagine how they’ll treat new ones. Customer loyalty clearly means nothing here.
