About
Turtle Dunes Golf Club (formerly known as The Fairmont Pierre Marques Golf Course) is the centerpiece of the Fairmont Acapulco Princess Resort and it is also open to members and guests of the Fairmont Pierre Marques Resort. The course is situated amidst a tropical sanctuary, with towering Parota trees framing the holes and expansive water features coming into play. A priority when designing the golf course was to restore the rolling sand dunes that once tumbled across the landscape but were since lost with time. Tripp Davis, the course designer, molded and shaped the terrain, restoring it to its original beauty while also creating a challenging layout. In addition to the water, there are also strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The golf course will test your accuracy amongst a variety of other skills, but it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant.

Bad experience.
I recently visited Turtle Dunes Acapulco, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience.
Despite the camp being nearly empty, the starter and the course manager were inflexible about changing green fee times, which added to the frustration.
The course itself is in dire need of attention, the overall ambiance is far from welcoming, and the staff's rigid policies only worsen the experience.
If you want to avoid a bad experience, don't come here. I do not recommend Turtle Dunes Acapulco at all. Save your time and money by choosing a different destination.
