I purchased a three year BRG membership in Dec, 2019. On the May. 28th, 2021, the Vietnamese Immigration Department advised they would not be extending Tourist Visas, which forced me to leave Vietnam before June 20th .
Upon this notification, I reached out to BRG management, informing them of this “force majeure” event, asking for the contract be frozen, until I’m allowed to return to Vietnam. Local management acknowledged this was “force majeure” yet informed it was a corporate matter and she had no authority.
Yesterday, I received notice from the sales department advising, “clearly and unexpected circumstance beyond our control and it cannot be considered the fault of the golf course in any way”. Thus, they are not going to honor the “force majeure” clause of the contract and are in breach.
Hopefully this review might help others who might be considering membership from BRG.
BUYER BEWARE, they will not honor their contracts.
