Geoje View, South Korea
This is like many of the courses in South Korea, built on hillsides with very little flat ground.
All the Tee shots are very narrow opening up 75 meters or so down the hole, but every hole has OB one side and hazard on the other.
Due to the OB's and hazards all holes except the par 3's have a hazard Tee, generally 150 meters plus down the fairway, but the local rule is you play 4 from the hazard Tee and the caddies are pretty pushy about following this rule.
In fact the caddies are pretty pushy generally and some get annoyed if you want to play from where your ball enters the hazard, some of our local friends have told us that the caddies can get into trouble if it is considered that a group have been slow even if there is not a group waiting behind them.
This course like others here is like a production line, as many people per day as fast as possible, minimum 3 ball, if only 2 players you must play 3 green fees, one buggy and caddie per group!
Generally golf over here is not as enjoyable as elsewhere in SE Asia with the caddies rushing you on every shot and then a compulsory break after 9 holes of 45 minutes to an hour, this is due to having groups Teeing off on the front and back nine from 06.23 to 09.00hrs each day, all change after 9 holes and then start additional groups Teeing off again at 11.00hrs.
That said it is still a pretty course and with the right weather still fun!
