Scottish-inspired Legends resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: A Grand Strand golf vacation in and of itself

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- With three golf courses located at the resort -- the Heathland, Moorland and Parkland Courses -- the Scottish-inspired Legends is a Grand Strand golf vacation in and of itself.

Legends' par-71 Heathland Course, designed by Tom Doak, mimics a links from the British Isles. It's a chip off St. Andrews' block, with touches of Lahinich and Cruden Bay thrown in.

P.B. Dye's Moorland has a great reputation as a tough East Coast play. Natural growth, sand, water and waste areas combine for a play similar to the PGA West Stadium Course.

New to the block, Legends' Parkland offers the diversity and beauty of the natural Myrtle Beach terrain. Tree-lined fairways, multi-level greens and massive bunkers abound on the course.

When you finish with the courses, retire to the resort. Legends offers golf villas in a setting that gives off a Scottish Village-vibe. Also, don't miss the Ailsa Pub, offering 16 HDTVs and a full menu. The resort features a large pool and hot tub, too, for after-golf relaxation.
