About Hotel Casa Velas and Velas Vallarta

Located on beautiful Banderas Bay, Casa Velas and Velas Vallarta are two well-known all-inclusive resorts that offer a wide variety of amenities for every type of traveler. Because they’re sister properties under the same ownership, guests can enjoy luxury suites with garden, golf course, or ocean views at either location, along with transportation and access to amenities at both resorts. Casa Velas is an adults-only resort that offers a peaceful, upscale atmosphere with three restaurants and bars, several pools and Jacuzzis with concierge service and VIP access to the exclusive Táu Beach Club. Guests can unwind at the world-class luxury spa, which features treatments and hydrotherapy circuits, or stay active with swimming, tennis, beach volleyball and a full fitness center. Right next door, Velas Vallarta is a family-friendly resort with various restaurants, daily buffets and gourmet dining options, along with fully stocked minibars. Guests can stroll through lush tropical gardens, relax on the beach, swim in one of the three pools, or enjoy a game of tennis or basketball. There’s also a Kids’ Club with fun, supervised activities designed just for younger guests. Golfers staying at either resort have access to two nearby clubs. Marina Vallarta Club de Golf, designed by Joe Finger adjacent to Casa Velas, is an 18-hole course that offers incredible views of the Sierra Madre mountains, Banderas Bay and the tropical coastline. A half-hour cab ride away, Vista Vallarta Golf Club features two 18-hole championship courses, one by Jack Nicklaus and one by Tom Weiskopf. The Nicklaus course sits at a higher elevation and offers panoramic views of Puerto Vallarta, the marina and the bay, while the Weiskopf course winds through jungle, ravines and creeks for a more rugged, scenic round.

Marina Vallarta is a challenging and beautiful course.pace of play was slower than average. Beautiful course with ponds and wildlife, crocodiles.

Crocks just nap and don't bother the golfers.

Marina Vallarta Golf

Check in at the course was a problem. The course employee had difficulty printing a starter ticket for me & processing my credit card. When I checked my receipt at my hotel I discovered that she charged my card $79+ dollars US & not the $65 US I had booked on Golf Now! Very disappointed. 🙁👎

Course was in reasonably good condition. However, most of the greens were very firm & I had several shots land on the green & roll off the back. Greens did roll pretty good. Sand traps were a bit “thin” on sand. Fairways were generally in good shape. I will play there again in the future. Watch out for the crocodiles!

Marina Vallarta has great value

The course was in good condition for all 4 rounds, the staff was friendly, the wildlife outstanding. Great value and experience for the money. There may be better courses around, but if you plan on playing multiple times, you can double up here for the price of one round elsewhere.

Great course but too expensive

My friends and I played the Vista Weiskopf on a nice Saturday afternoon. We got a discount from Golfpass but still paid 150 US$. My wife had to pay 50 $ US as a rider. Despite the very warm weather, the course does not provide free water bottle. Though the course is of high quality while the views are spectacular, there are other courses that are of similar quality (Vidanta Greg Norman) for a lower price and closer to the city.. I still can't understand why they charge so much given how remote it is

Excellent golf experience

Wonderful course. Challenging but not ridiculous. Well maintained. Don’t judge the course by the primitive road! Course is excellent.

Very good to have a caddie. Arturo is a very good caddie.

I will make it a priority to play golf here every time I am in Puerta Vallarta
