Pro shop staff no bueno
Course is challenging and the crocs and wildlife make it cool…. cart staff - service staff, snack bar guy, starters, all very kind and welcoming. Woman in the pro shop is a staff member that checks you in.. We played there 3 times in 1 week. She had a very hard time finding our tee time registration (booked on golf now). And the day we came in 1 hour 40 minutes before the tee time she was very upset stating we were almost 2 hours too early. We had planned some driving range and putting practice time. My spouse always inquires about an earlier tee time …and pro shop girl was very upset that we may be trying to get a non-twilight time for a twilight price and reminded us three times if we wanted to start earlier we will have to pay more (even though there were open spots for twosomes that the starters were trying to fill) starters asked us if we could join and we had to say ‘no’ because the pro shop would not ‘check us in’ .. Other than her attitude and their weird rules the course was in good shape and we had a good time.
I very tough test of golf.
Lots of doglegs. Lots of water hazards. Green complexes are extremely difficult. Greens have undulations and grain to deal with. Expect to shoot a score higher that your usual.
Despite the difficulties, it is a beautiful piece of property with lots of cool wildlife. Lots of crocodiles!!
No complaints, I’m on vaca
We had a great round, lot’s of fun, course was in very good shape for Puerto Vallarta!
Good course with few crocs
4 hr round is a plus on a hot day. Greens were good but inconsistent bonus..I got a hole in one!
Poor Service
Lorena at the golf shop was very rude. My wife didn't want to play but still charged me for a ridger even though Golf Now charged me for a player. Golf Now did not refund me the charge for a player even though I was charged by Lorena a rider fee. Poor communication and unwilling to make this right.
Exciting golfing
This was a fun golf course. The crocodiles in iguanas made it challenging at times, but great to see them. Crocodiles cost me three strokes it was also fun watching the airplanes take off while golfing.
Great course with beautiful views of the mountains
We’ve played this course at least 10 times in the last 7 years. We never get tired of the views. The staff are excellent and the course is in excellent condition
Golf on the Ocean!
Loved it! The Alligators did not disappoint us in joining us on the course. Served lunch while playing, great Bloody Mary's! Fun family and friends time!
Good Value for a Mexican Resort Course in Prime Season
Played during a port stop from a cruise ship. Drive out to the course and back via Uber was reasonable in terms of time and cost. Taxi's are more expensive, so be aware of that. Played early afternoon but weather was good with just light winds. Course conditions were good. Greens could have been a little faster, but they rolled fairly smooth. Fairways were mostly good with a couple of brown spots, but I'm being pretty picky calling that out. Bunkers were good and very playable. Course layout was nice with a mix of challenging and simple green complexes. Typical Nicklaus course with wide fairways navigating around some ravines and hills. I'd give it an excellent rating 5% rating if the green fee was $100 or less but still worth playing if you are in town. 4.5 is what I would give it to be exact.
Way too slow
We had an 8am tee off. It took 4.5 hours because they allow 5 player tee offs. Really frustrating when you have to wait before hitting every shot. There was 2 holes open in front of the 5some
Staff were indifferent
Best course in P V
Great course, very challenging so be patient and avoid the hero shots. Staff are great. Best course marshals of all the PV courses. (Including Nuevo Vallarta)
Nice challenging course, rough traps, bad carts
Course is long, has a lot of water and crocodiles on many holes, also a lot of bunkers that are not the greatest, but enjoyed the day and would play the course again.
The golf carts have this ridiculous feature that shuts them off if you go to the wrong area and the only way to move is in reverse, if that works. Had three groups reversing up the cart path on one hole because of this GPS feature. Stupid.
Poor pace of played ruined the game
We teed off at 8:10am, it took 4hrs 45 minutes to play. They allowed 5 somes out. At one point they were behind the pace by 2 holes. That pretty much backs up the course for the whole day. We’ve played all the courses in the PV area. For an early tee time, this is the worst pace of play we have experienced
