Vacation Golf
Decided to play a round of golf in Los Cabo’s while on vacation. It was a blast glad I did it.
Excellent staff, grreens in good condition.
Priced to allow multiple rounds of golf in a very central location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Overpriced
Even with a ‘hot deal’ price and then the $25, yes $25!!! all inclusive food/drink it’s still more than a ‘hot deal’ at great 18 hole beautiful courses like Compestre or Cabo Real! It is literally Cabo Crazy pricing! Dusty dirty cart paths that made it necessary to vacuum my club bag and launder my golf shoes! That being said-staff super friendly, cart girls great and greens in fantastic shape. If there’s no other ‘hot deals’ on the $250 walkin rate courses (there’s that Cabo Crazy again) it’s the only other choice.
They overcharged for mandatory food by 11.00 dollars when I asked for credit on the overcharge they said it was cancelled and the price was adjusted except on my statement it was another charge they now owe me 60.00 dollars and will not refund it
Great quick round
Great place for quick fun cost effective round of golf. 9 hole course. We played it twice for the full 18. Awesome staff. Great food at drinks Tacos and alcohol included with the fees. Highly recommend for a relaxed round Can’t wait to play it again.
Pro shop process misleading and ruined whole experience
The outside staff was great, course was fine, pro shop checkin was HORRENDOUS!
Go to checkin in person, when asked, told it was cheaper to buy on GolfNow … so we did while sitting there in the pro shop. Then after wards, they ask for $100 more ($25 pp) for food and beverage. I was irate, no golf course does that. We play golf in Cabo regularly, and I gave feedback to a completely disinterested head pro … SAY WHAT IT COSTS! $50 or $75 … doesn’t make too much of a difference, give me the total upfront! Don’t wait for me to book and then say “you know how I said it was cheaper online, now I need to tack on $25 more per person for services we don’t want”.
Truth is, we would play there again, we’d even enjoy the all inclusive food and drink, but WE WONT PLAY THERE UNTIL THEY ARE UPFRONT … it’s basic business, when people ask how much it costs … in the proshop, or on GolfNow, give people the total … not some subtotal that will literally get 50% added onto it. If your defense is ‘read the fine print’ … whatever it is, I think the value is there …. if you rely on surprise charges for 33% of your golf revenue, you will never earn my business … tell me the round costs $75 or $100 and I’ll gladly pay it.
Great bargain
This was a fun and mellow course! The staff is amazingly friendly, and for a small fee they include drinks and food! We had a great time and will definitely return!
9 holes played twice with beer and tacos included
I think the title sums it up. Additionally, the staff is incredibly nice, but a slow system at check in requires early arrival. So if they get you through quickly, then you have plenty of time to eat free tacos and down a free marg while hitting balls into a net and testing out the practice green (the best and only well maintained green on the course). Don't get me wrong, it has it's drawbacks, but for the price down here?? It's a gem for us locals!
Hot mess
I want to preface this that we have played other Vidanta courses and were expecting something similar. First at check in, they wanted to charge more for food and beverage than listed by golfnow. They raised their rates as of 6/1, but golfnow hadn't updated their app - however after some pushback they honored the app rate. Pathetic food and drink for required $44 for two, they only offered reheated tacos, cheap liquor/beer and very basic mixers. We had 5 tacos, two Gatorade and 2 chips. We ordered one margarita, but it was undrinkable and tossed. Nothing but prepackaged garbage on the course attendant cart. Food charge is a complete rip-off.
Course was a mess, no mention was made of aeration or green sanding when booking. Lots of dead grass, thick piles of grass clippings (we played midday). One grounds keeper was spraying chemicals very near us with a large driven machine on the same fairway we were playing and drove right next to us. Zero common sense to be spraying while guests are on the hole. First few holes were much worse than the second half. Liked some of the open fairways, but not much else. Wouldn't play here again based on our experience and definitely not up to Vidanta quality. A lot like a really poorly run, cheap municipal from home.
I was not able to upload pictures, since the upload link did not work.
Had a great time!
I’m just beginning so the course was harder for me than my husband. But overall the staff was super friendly with providing drinks, helping us understand how things worked, and even allowed us to start early since it was pretty quiet. The “unlimited food” amenity was ok in terms of there only being tacos and drinks. The clubs rented were a little mixed bag literally but then again my skill level isn’t great so it didn’t really matter. Also, we weren’t sure where the bathroom at the 5th hole was, but good thing we didn’t need it.
Worst Customer Service Ever
I was informed when I arrived that my Nike Golf shirt that is collarless was not good enough to play the cow pasture called Vindanta. It is a golf shirt made by Nike but they were not flexible at all. The course was empty and they would rather not allow someone on with real golf wear without a collar that have someone play and tip their service people well. Lost money for all the staff. The head pro didn't care, it was all about him enforcing rules than being accommodating, it was all power trip for him. He just didn't;t care and it showed. Will never go back. I am also a local that was willing to place once or twice a week and bring friends but his lack of customer service skills destroyed that.
Golf & Grub
A perfect place to scratch your golf itch during you Cabo trip. Course is solid, rentals were okay too but definitely a literal mixed bag. They don't skimp on the all you can eat and drink either.
