About Dothan National Golf Club and Hotel
The discovery of a natural hot spring in the 1960s inspired the birth of The Dotham National Golf Club & Hotel. Its hotel and golf course were built shortly afterward. The healing waters of the spring are heated and pumped into an indoor spa pool available only for guests. All the rooms and suites have been updated. Packages can include a breakfast buffet, breakfast and lunch or dinner, too. The 7,425-yard, par-73 course lined by pines has hosted the SEC Championships multiple times.Facts

Great Value, Conditions Improving
This is a great value as the hot deal is often at $10 and they have put alot of work into the course. Conditions slowly improving at good challenging layout
Getting Dramatically Better
The first time I went there was this summer, soon after the new owner bought the course. The course was terrible. However, this guy knows what he is doing. Greens are almost as nice as the local RTJ course now. This course has come a long way. Highly recommend.
A work in progress
This course has gone through ownership changes in the past few years and no "one" has really committed to the management of the course. It is looking better than it has and should be nice when the grass starts growing in the spring and summer. Fun course to play
nice course
Nice course, and very busy. Greens were in great shape.
Greens terrible
Fairways were ok, greens were horrible. Nice layout, just needs some work.
Need a Goundskeeper
No one here seems to know how to cut or maintain a golf course... specifically the geens. Geens were are n may spots....where there was grass....it was dead. The brown grass would be cut very short on one hole... and uncut on the next. Even at the $23 golfnow price, this was not a bargain.
You can tell this course was once a Jewel
This was the first time playing the course. I have always wanted to play but just never made the 140 mile drive, however, I in town for a baseball tourney and had extra time. You can tell that once upon a time this course was a Jewel. The layout is great. The fairways was good; on a scale I would say 7.5. Now, the bad part of the course. The Greens needs a lot of attention and work. On the Front side (Roll Tide), the Greens had several bare spots. On the Back side (War Eagle), the Greens were in better shape, however, they was very slow. I think they are not cutting these as low as the front side. The Pro was putting water on the fairway and Greens late in the afternoon, which is a good sign. If you can get a deal to play for under $20, give it a try.
Dothan National has a great lay out
Enjoyed playing. When checking in with the pro shop they need to pay attention to the cost. I booked this through Golf Now for $24 and was charged $30
Nice layout, but...
The course really has a nice layout with a good variety of interesting and challenging holes, but the greens were in awful shape. It looks like they really try hard to maintain the course, but they don't seem to have the needed cash-flow to invest in the necessary fertilizers and weed control chemicals. When we played, there were 3 temporary greens! If the greens were in better shape, I'd gladly play it again.
Decent course
You can tell at one point the course was a top notch course but it requires some work at this time. Besides that it is a Very Challenging golf course. Rookies need not apply.
