One of two great courses at the Biltmore...play them both.

There are two courses at the Biltmore and this is the newer of the two. But this is not a power hitter, long, modern course, It is a thinking course and as a 16-handicap, a course I aim and pray hoping to pull it off. Generous fairways allow for some misses and great greens allow you the chance to at least make some putts to save a round. The greens were fast and it was a very hot day so I am not sure they were cut the day I played. I can imagine how fast they could get.

Play both course on this fine resort. You will be grateful.

Weekend golfer

Paid a lot of money to play a course with mediocre conditions.

Links

Links is better than Adobe. Way better views. Water on course. People at front desk are always nice. But there is a “ranger” or whatever. Two carts died on me, which I read in previous reviews that it has happened. I even videoed the second one, which I was on a cart path, will provided evidence. After the second one dropped off and I showed him the video, he comes back 1 minute later and tells me to stay away from the greens and hazards. Hence you I am a scratch golfer and know how to respect a course. But for him to assume I was being reckless after two carts died on me is infuriating. Him and the rest of the dudes who work outside (not the people at front desk) always have. Attitude when you roll up and you can tell they get annoyed when you ask for your range balls(Bc they have to go clean them up, wah wah). I only go to this course Bc it is behind my house and good pace of play at 2-3 in the afternoon in the summer now. Course is average shape but at least you can get a decent putt off. Don’t pay the $60, it’s not worth that at all. The $41 “twilight” rate is more than enough. GPS on carts at least. But you’ll get 50 notifications on the screen telling you to be in by 7 and a bunch of other nonsense that makes you have to touch the screen everytime to see your yardage. Annoying

Under construction

Short course with one temporary green. Pace of play was slow. I didn't see a Marshall on the course. If the conditions are over 110F I would prefer to have the Marshall out and move up the pace.

The Staff was amazing and friendly.

Nice Layout but in poor condition

I’ve played here several times over the last couple of years and have not seen the fairways in such poor conditions.. Charging $69.00 summer rates is ridiculous for a course whose fairways are over run with weeds, dead pan, and patchy greens.

Disappointed

I’ve always loved this course but had a very bad experience the last time I played there. We paid $45 each and it was 106 degrees outside. Our cart died on #16 and we had to wait 20 minutes for the staff to bring a cart to us. We played one hole and the new cart died on us and we had to wait 15 more minutes to get another cart. As the staff was pushing our dead cart away with their cart, their cart died too. We watched them pushing both carts down the cart path towards the clubhouse until we were clear to tee off. When we finished no one apologized or offered a rain check. Nothing.

A Round At The Biltmore

Construction and poor greens was disappointing. The cost is not worth it. Stick to Quintero and others that are in better condition.

Not so great

The layout and condition of the front 9 was unimpressive. It’s very old school style and we have much better to choose from in Phoenix. The back 9 was better but not enough to bring me back. The staff friendliness very good. The Biltmore Links course is in better shape and more enjoyable.
