Timing the Monsoon Season
We had a great time, however, the course had experienced a violent thunder and hail storm the night before. The course is under renovation, so there is no putting green or any practice facilities. We experienced casual water several dozen yards across the fairway in low lying areas of the course. This was inconvenient as was the fact that we were limited to the cart path due to the soggy conditions. Otherwise, it was a nice day for playing. The course wasn't crowded and the food at the Adobe restaurant was very good. I dropped my phone on the 10th green and the players behind me retrieved it and gave it to the cart girl and it was summarily brought to me by the roving ranger. I was grateful for the service and the consideration of the players I've played this course before, and I would do so again, but probably at a different time of year.
Biltmore Built Bad☹️
The links course is in terrible shape for this nostalgic course that was once an Icon connected to the famous hotel with the same namesake. Front nine is terrible shape - greens are garbage. No driving range or putting range for starters. Front nine greens need major work. Also needs new ball washers, tee boxes, flags, etc. The links course reminded of a bad muni. This place is under construction in a major way. Avoid until renovations are complete in November. The other course is also under renovation till November. Such a disappointment!😖😖😖😖😖😖
horrible conditions
sadly, the course is in as bad of shape as it always seems to be. The owners obviously won't put any money it making the course conditions better. won't play there again.
horrible conditions as usual
this course is in terrible shape as usual. they obviously don't care about the course
Not a $75 round golf course
I knew about construction and no driving range before booking. Staff was extremely nice but course just not in good enough shape to warrant the price, . Burnt out greens okay fairways, $30 round no more
Up the watering
I am usually a big fan of the links course. It’s challenging but fair. But right now it is in the worst shape I’ve ever seen it in. I know it’s summer and it’s hot but plenty of other courses can ensure green fairways and greens. Hope they get it back into shape soon.
The links
As usual, the course did not disappoint. The ongoing construction was not a problem and did not interfere with the pace of play
Do not waste your money
Total waste of money and time. Only Links is open and expect big waits and a total lack of hospitality and leadership. Ugh.
Very enjoyable course...
We have played the Links Course at the Arizona Biltmore a number of time. My personal preference is for the Adobe course, but it is now closed for renovations until November 2023.
The Links is challenging from the tips, but from the mid-tees, it is quite playable. The condition of the course was excellent and the weather was perfect (not unusual for this time of year in the Phoenix area).
The only minor issue was that things were a bit backed up on the first tee. At one point there were 4 foursomes backed up waiting to tee off. Once we got off and played a few holes, the waiting was reduced, but we were waiting on the front nine a lot. By the time we hit the turn, everyone had spread out a bit and things were just fine. Overall, this is a very nice track, and a good value if you can get a twilight tee time right around 2:30pm.
