Very Narrow course, pace of play monitored
Course was extremely narrow with fairways very close together. We often had golfers on our fairway and unfortunately, my husband visited a few of the wrong fairways. Club house and grounds under constructions. Many tee boxes were in poor condition and one green was under construction. The driving range was also close to the fairways and several fairways were littered with range balls. I personally was standing on the 17th green getting ready to putt and was hit by a range ball on my calf. Very unexpected and left quite the bruise. There was also a course monitor that kept harassing the group in front of us to speed up because they were two holes behind the group in front of them. Our pace of play was 2 hours and 5 minutes per 9 holes. That is quick enough and irritating to get constantly nagged to speed up just because the group in front was playing faster. He even tried to get us to jump in front of the group in front of us and skip a hole. We didn't
First timer
First time playing this course and enjoyed it! they were doing some construction near the clubhouse which made it a bit confusing. But I would play this course again given the same price!
It was a good value for the price.
I usually play the Links, but Adobe was less expensive. Glad I did, it was a very enjoyable round.
Fun round
Forgiving course in great condition. A little construction has changed yardage but still challenging. Be careful - lots of people yelling Fore
Living off their reputation
Was excited to return to Biltmore’s Adobe after my last great round there pre-Covid… it is now a disappointment.
All kinds of construction, filthy, unfriendly, dry/cement greens, green fairways but totally tracked up, broken amenities (liability exposure everywhere from uneven construction dirt walkways to ball washers with dangerously sharp shattered handles)…. Clearly this course is rebuilding after Covid too.
Staff ignored guests as they coddled their semi-private members. Not worth the full green fees today, but the promise for tomorrow remains possible.
Beat up
I played 96 holes over 3 days and this was the least memorable of the courses I played. I think I would just describe the course as tired and pedestrian. With all the amazing courses the area has to offer…don’t waste your time (or money) on this one
Good warm up course
It's a typical resort course. It's hard to get into trouble so if you're hooking or slicing, there's still a chance at par. The greens were shaggy and bumpy (a lot of rain lately) but it seemed like no one was fixing their ball marks. That's what you see at cheap municipal courses. Cart girl came by on the second hole and never saw her again and this was a Friday afternoon. BTW, the homes out there are ridiculously nice.
Decent Option for Intermediate Players
Recent rains affected most nearby courses, but Arizona Biltmore - Adobe was definitely playable. Apparently wide open and relatively short, I still managed to get my tee shots stuck behind the beautiful trees guarding the fairways and greens. I chose to play from the longest set of (3) tees because at the middle set was only 5973 yards. That brought those pesky trees into play, as it added over 600 yards to the course! Pace of play was good, the others in my group were fun to play with, and over all, it was a good golfing experience. Finding good courses at a reasonable cost for area visitors in March is difficult; even my hot deal was pricey. Apparently, I need to get used to it. Bottom line…the course was challenging enough and in pretty good shape; staff was friendly and courteous; fellow players were fun to play with; and I had a good golfing experience.
Not what I expected but turned out great!
I really enjoyed playing the Adobe course but didn’t really look into the layout, so I assumed differently. With 2 different 18 hole courses I actually chose the wrong course, but Adobe was a delight to play. The course was in really great shape. The roughs were perfect because they were kept short and well maintained. The greens never really sped up after the morning dew dried up, but they were in really good condition. I appreciate the ranger being pleasant even though the threesome in front of us left us behind. He came around and wasn’t pushing us to speed up even though the last three holes we were getting pushed by the foursome behind us. Overall it was a nice course. The price could have been a slight cheaper but it’s peak season so what can I say. I commend the rangers and staff for their their friendliness and professionalism. Great experience…
Good golf course
Nice course, a lot of undulations on the greens, aliitle slow, but in great sharpe. Some water, good sand in the traps. Fairways wide so driving straight not a premium. Scorecard for 1 st hole says par 5, but only 358, yards, so some error there.
Not Impressed
Course really needs some work. I do not believe this is the standard for the AZ Biltmore. Just seemed very run down and unkept. For the price I expected way more. Staff was super friendly. New pro shop was super nice. The restaurant food was really good but rundown and dirty. Greens were lumpy.
