Dangerous conditions
Our party was hit into on three separate occasions. Twice via cross fire (ball hit into the wrong fareway) and once via a blatant “hit into”.
One ball missed our player by inches. We quit after 14 holes as we felt too dangerous to continue.
Links
Overall the course was an interesting lay out and an enjoyable experience. I didn’t play well, not familiar with the the layout and the greens. Tee boxes were in really rough shape.
I would definitely play it again, hopefully with better results…. Haha
How do you spell OLD ?
How do you spell old and tired with an emphasis on OLD and TIRED. I felt I was playing on a course in 1950. Add to that tees that had little if any grass and traps so hard you could get out with a putter. I talked to the pro who admitted that he hadn't played the course is quite some time. Apparently the maintenance crew hadn't been there in quite some time either. .
Enjoyable Round
As mid handicap golfers, my friend & I found this course very enjoyable to play. Aesthetically pleasing and a wonderful layout.. I've played the Adobe course once before and found the Links course more challenging. The only complaints I have is that the tee boxes were mostly dirt and yhe sand traps could use new sand. Staff was friendly and lunch was great!
Tight course
Fairways run along each other pretty close together. Condition of the course was great.
Variety
The variety of holes makes Links interesting and challenging. Just enough water and traps to get your attention yet allow bale outs when necessary. Greens could have been a little softer and the traps a little more consistent
Fun in the sun
The links course is definitely a fun challenge with some beautiful scenery in an amazing area of Scottsdale .
While it is called the “ links “ course this is not links golf but no big deal as it is a fun and challenging little course.
The greens on the front side are on the smaller side so it’s best to go for the center of the green .
The course conditions however when I played we’re not what was expected with a price tag of 168 bux for 18 .
Tee boxes were barren and some fairways were shaggy .
Overall I was happy with the day because how can you not enjoy perfect weather in a perfect place like Scottsdale .
The course may have been good once but is not now
The first green appeared to be in the middle of the driving range. The greens were ok but not what I expected.
Great course
Pace of play was great, greens were in good shape. Rough and fairways were in good shape. Looking forward to playing here again.
Tee boxes
There was no grass. We teed off dirt. Traps were hard and crunchy.
Over payed
Cart was dirty with whisky bottle and old whisky in cooler, cooler mount broken, bird poop abundant, greens beat up, and a number of tee's were dirt and hard. Also double last year's cost with no resident rate
