No grass off the fairways
We completed right over 4 hours on a Saturday. Friendly staff for checking in and starter. Greens and fairways in OK conditions but don’t expect any grass to sides of fairways.
horrible
Terrible
Don't waste your money. Conditions terrible. Wet and muddy but it hasn't rained. No fairway. Horrible conditions. We want a refund.
Nice layout but in poor condition
This was my first time playin this course. Locals tell me that a few years ago it was in really good shape. New ownership (3 years) clearly have opted not to keep it well maintained.
Slow Play-Poor Course Condition
The course needs a lot of work Rakes were missing from several traps. Tee's were difficult to place your tees in the ground. Staff was friendly. The marshal did not seem to move the pace of play-even though there was at least one open hole in front of the group playing in front of us. Fairways were very spotty. Drives down the middle often found little or no grass. While the price is low, so are most of the playing conditions.
Pace of play
Teed off early , front 9 less than 2hours back 9 2 hours even with some wait. Pleasant round
Needs TLC
The course has a good layout , the bunkers had just been all recut and raked but the fairways, rough and tee boxes were in extremely bad shape. With some fertilizer, , seed and water the course would have great improvement. The back nine seemed in better shape than the front. Definitely not worth the $60+ we paid!
Worst condition ever
Been playing here weekly every winter for over 10 years, worst condition ever. Bare fairways, super soggy areas, mud.
Not worth the $$ they are charging.
Ratty condition
This course is not in good shape. Fairway are not filled in with grass. Swamp areas in front of greens and in middle of fairways.
This course should only be charging 20 dollars per round.
Recommend you play somewhere else unless you don't mind having to find a place to drop your ball in the middle of the fairway. See pictures of examples of swamp and beatup grass in front on green.
Course has very little grass
The course is very poorly maintained , the greens are the best part of the course , very little grass on fairways and the fairways are very hard
The grass is in poor condition for the price
Sunday 10:32 a.m. tee-up
I'm satisfied with the course design, but the fairways were all wet and muddy, the greens were spotty, and the grass was dead. It's worth a visit if it costs less than $70. If you want to get more than that on the golf course, you'll have to pay more attention to managing the lawn.
Worse course in the state of Arizona!
Accused us of stealing their cart after 5 hour round, old grey headed guy. Thought he owned the place. But with all honesty worse course I’ve played in Arizona.
Average
The course is average. It’s still the same fairways spotty around the greens and the greens are solid. Tee boxes need work also for this time of year. Really not much of an improvement since summer but since price is decent versus all the others it’s playable and will continue to be for me.
Should be called Dirt Hills
Course is in awful condition. More dirt than grass. Even shot that looked like the hit grass would end up in mud or dirt.
Pace of play was awful. Waited on EVERY shot. Close to 6 hours for the round. Things got a little better after asking clubhouse to send someone out to push group in front of us. There were two holes open in front of them.
I played here a couple of years ago and course was in the same condition. I made a mistake with the booking due to course name change.
Avoid this mess. You would have more fun lighting your money on fire.
Golden Hills
Staff was very helpful. Course was in good shape and very well laid out. Had a great time.
