Staff make it horrible, let alone conditions
The start of our round was chaos. We checked in, no one after that helped us. We had a 5+ hour round, dirt for “over seeded” fairways, what a joke. Worse than any year we have been here prior, it’s like the wild Wild West!!! Won’t be back for even $20 green fee.
Starter caused pace of play issues
Decent value, fairways and greens were in very nice condition, pace of play was poor due to starter held up our group and a few others for 10 minutes while he made us wait for a group late to first tee rather than releasing us and the following groups to play a making the late group wait for an opening. Add to that the late group had very poor golf etiquette and pace of play. Marshall did his best to try and get them moving but they only obliged until he had moved on
Took the shine off a great day for golf but I would give it another chance.

Lack of signage and dirt everywhere
We’ve never been to this course and thought we would give it a shot. The staff right away checked us in which was great but after that we were on our own. Nobody told us where to go which cart to get how to check in. Once we figured that out there was no starter in position to check in with so we sat at the first tee waiting. Once on the course the people in front of us took a tremendous amount of time hitting what appeared to be 3 shots ball position. We even slowed down to give them space and they just went slower. We weren’t even able to finish playing they were so slow. It’s nice that the course was reseeded but there is so much dirt being around the sides and mud if you hit your ball off the fairway good luck finding it and hitting it without getting into a muddy dirty mess. People living on the golf course were yelling at us and cursing at us even when our balls were no where near their houses and were just bugged because we were scaring their dogs with us walking around searching for our balls. There is a single sign that says no carts beyond this point but all the carts block it so when I drove 10 feet past it to our vehicle to put clubs away staff came out ready to murder us telling us there was a sign pointed to it and it was covered. Not a good experience
Good shape for November
We have been playing this course for many years. It's in better shape, for early in the season, than it has been many other years.

Arizona Golf Course Greatly Improved
We have golfed this course many times over the past decade. This was our first time this season and we were very impressed. The fairways and greens were in the best condition we have seen with this course. An extremely enjoyable round of golf.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Arizona Golf Resort.
THEY CALL THIS OVERSEEDING, COURSE SUCKS
I cant believe they consider this open for play, the course is worse than it was last season, NOT WORTH $60! The workers at counter didn’t know what was going on and the outside staff looked homeless. Never coming back, place is worse than any area course and new management is a joke!
Horrible management
Pretty sure his name was Eric but was telling his workers he was going on lunch to get high & take a nap & would be back later, never saw him again, thise boys who clean & take care of golf course need a raise they work hard all alone while there boss goes home on property to smoke & sleep! Won't come back here when workers are being treated awful by a boss or person in management!
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Arizona Golf Resort!
Playing On Dirt
This was my first time playing at this course and perhaps it is just this time of the season but I struggled to find grass to hit on anywhere I felt like I played on dirt the whole round. After our round we wanted to have a beer at 5:20 and the clubhouse was closed
Fairways were completely dry with no grass left. In fairness reseeding is next week but the course should not have been open in this condition.
Just before over seeding
Course was in tough shape, but considering they are over seeding in a few days you would expect that. I was surprised that the Greens were bumpy and dry . I'll wait till they reopen after the over seeding ang give better review.

No grass playing on dirt
My first time playing here and maybe I chose the wrong time to play here but there was no grass that could be found anywhere I might try again in the Spring

Horrible had to ask for a refund. 1028 Tee time was skipped over twice. Starter said did you change your shirt or something because I didn’t see you. I told him yes you did we talked twice. Said oh sorry I will get you out next. 30 mi utes later we were still waiting. Went up for a refund
Terrible conditions
The conditions of the course were terrible, not a patch of grass on the fairways, only thing green were the greens. I talked to the cart lady who was really nice and so friendly. I asked her if this was because they were getting ready to over seed and she said no this is how it is all the time, it’s a privately owned course. Could be a beautiful course if it was maintained correctly.
First Time Player
I'm an average retired golfer and found the AGR about average. This time of year the courses shutdown for reseeding, and this time was the week before, so the course was very dry. Greens were in good shape. Course is challenging for seniors as it is 6500 yds on white tees, but otherwise pretty straight-forward. Price was major factor in choosing. Had to pay upfront for deal. Overall good experience, would play again.

The golf course was a dirt farm
90% of the course was dirt. Not dormant Bermuda grass, but literal dirt. Booking here was a waste of time and money. They should’ve simply shut the course down until they began the overseeding process. We won’t be back.
