GPS???
GPS on new carts are way off. Greens are slightly beat up.
Traps, traps, traps...and then water!
Sewailo seems to have more traps than most other courses. Of course, this might not be accurate. Maybe I was just in more of them. I think this is a challenging course that offers an excellent golfing experience!
Very average course nothing to brag about
Much better courses in the area. Need code to enter bathroom on course which does not work very well. Also we had to wait to tee off so the course could place us with a couple that had earlier tee time that they missed so to foursome us up with them even though we had just enough time to finish our round before dark. We had to play into dark to finish the round.
Rough was in sad shape as well as sand traps not playable. I hit out of sand hit a metal spike damaging my wedge as sand was thin and down to material that is below sand and kept in place with metal spikes.
Cart gps only wanted to show advertising and had to be refreshed on every hit to see distance and blind spot which slowed played for all..
Starter was also rude when asked for how to work bathroom code.
Should play sometime
Very well maintained course in good condition. Greens seemed a bit fast for the recreational golfer. Largest bunkers I have ever seen. Cart gps is excellent. Very friendly staff. If you have a tee time and can get there early, they have complimentary range balls.
Disappointing
Was stoked to see a course with such good reviews for a great price! The starter told us we would like this course more than Southern Dunes, that’s when I should have known we were golfing at a circus. If you live for golfing on hard dirt then this course is for you. I’m convinced the fairways are just spray painted green. I realize it’s January, but even the most basic course in the valley is more playable than that. We were aiming for the bunkers because it was easier to hit out of those. The U of A golf team must be the best team in the world if they have to practice on that everyday. The carts were very nice but there was so many ads on them you have to bring someone with you to just touch the screen all day to get rid of the ads. The only bright spot was every employee we interacted with was awesome!
Nice if restroom code worked
Loved it a,little difficult for me ,but I'm beginner . Only problem couldn't get into restroom code didn't work .
First Timers
It was a nice layout, very clean grounds. Fairways were pretty open, but those are some really challenging greens. I'd definitely play again.
Good open course
In general I do recomend this course, ferways are wide and open, exelent driving range to warm up before your game starts....just go and have fun......
Beautiful course
First time to play here and I will return. I usually score in the mid-upper 90’s so I am not in need of the most challenging track and this was perfect. I was happy to br playing with others who had some helpful hints to the terrain.
My only negative is that it took nearly 30 minutes to get a sandwich and Hot Dog that I ended up throwing away because I didn’t have time to eat.
