Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Great course
Course is always in great shape and staff is nice and helpful.
Nice Course
You'll definitely enjoy this course. Off the 13th tee box, you'll see the home owned once by Al Capone. Historic to say the least. The course is laid out nicely, and captures the surroundings with style.
The course was in great shape. The pace of play was adequate.
Great Layout
Course was in great shape. Staff friendly, and young lady who cleaned my clubs did the best job in a long time.
Classic Course
Staff was great, course was in good condition. The problem is that there are no sprinkler heads with yardage, no 100,150, or 200 yard markers. It would be simple to install. Prefer Western Skies where the carts have GPS
Great Layout
I thoroughly enjoyed San Marcos GC. I will definitely play it again when I am in the Valley.
Played on a busy saturday, pace of play got slow on the back 9. Finished in 4h20min. Nice layout, bunkers had sand in them, greens were ok. Staff was very friendly.
Historic & Charming Gem
Had the pleasure of playing this course under perfect conditions from tee to green. Charming and historic, San Marcos fully lived up to its reputation.
Cold and Wet
Yep even in AZ it rains. BUT, we still got our round in thanks to the great staff coordinating.
Enjoy your round at this very established course that's been around for over 100 years.
Poor weather, no refunds available
Played a few holes on November 9th, then it started to downpour for nearly 45 minutes. No refunds or rainchecks were offered because we prepaid ahead of time. We had to leave because the rain continued for another hour and the course was nothing more than a mud pit at that point t
slow play
oldest course in the valley greens were very slow and pace of play slow. if you can get it for 50 bucks good value just allow 4.5 to 5 hrs to play
Good old course
Course was in very good condition. Pace of play was nearly 5 hours and will likely be this way all season. Not that many courses in Phoenix under $60 so it was packed.
Weather Hit Us Hard
Well, the course was in very good shape except the rain and winds hit us hard. We stuck it out and finished the round, and the staff gave us options to re-play. Food and service was great!!
